hoodradKyle
Just purchased this 1981 210, still trying to figure out the naming of this thing. As far as I've gathered the only place its a 210 is in the states, everywhere else its a b310 or 150y. Regardless I do know that it's a 2 door sedan rather than a coupe. I can honestly say its one of the nicest cars I've ever owned.Runs and drives amazing, stops on a dime and I had it up to 75mph on the highway. One owner, 55k original miles with records to back it up. Its a bone stock automatic A15, and I know pics do all the talking around here so.. The radio and speakers don't work well with the rest of the car(original owner must have needed some tunes.lol) and I'm hoping I can redo the rear deck without the ugly speaker covers. My plans for it are mixed, on one hand it would be the perfect starting point to add world bumpers, coilovers and wheels and be done, but on the other hand its almost too intact to mess with. I figure I have a couple months to decide since we are still getting snow here in Pennsylvania and I have no plans to drive this car when there is still salt on the roads. It also came with the NOS dash surround that I would be willing to trade towards new bumpers if anyone has some they are willing to part with 5 Quote Link to comment
INDY510
Damn, that's so clean!!! .. .. and really nice photography too 3 Quote Link to comment
dukerollo
Super clean man. I'm jealous. I don't think a drop and some nice wheels would hurt that car in the least. I just picked up some little bumpers from Thailand for mine for $200ish shipped. They are not too hard to find. 1 Quote Link to comment

Is that steel reproductions or fiberglass? if steel, can you point me in the right direction to find some. The stockers are pretty ugly Quote Link to comment
dukerollo
They are steel repops. I don't expect the fit to be stellar, but I can fix that. I got them from evil bay. I can't recall the sellers name, but these were the last set he had. Just search b310 on there, they pop up from tIme to time. Quote Link to comment
Sierra
Never seen a 210 this clean. Awesome car. 1 Quote Link to comment
thatdirtykid
I hate cars like this that you don't want to do anything to because its too nice. I have come across a few. Maybe just don't do anything irreversible? That or just keep it classy and treat her well! Great car. 1 Quote Link to comment
tr8er
I typically say don't molest such a nice car. But if you have the chops, this would make an epic sleeper ride. Stock everything visible. I would have endless fun killing civics and mustangs with that car. 2 Quote Link to comment
hoodradKyle
Never seen a 210 this clean. Awesome car. Thanks, I haven't seen many survivor cars this clean, let alone Japanese tin. The more I go over it though, the more stuff I see. I'm actually really glad it has plenty of flaws makes me more comfortable with modifying it I hate cars like this that you don't want to do anything to because its too nice. I have come across a few. Maybe just don't do anything irreversible? That or just keep it classy and treat her well! Great car. Yeah, that's the current plan remove stock wheels/suspension clean the up and leave them in storage. Planning to keep the auto and A15, there's nothing wrong with either one so I'll just run them and forget doing burnouts. Luckily I built my 510 for that sole purpose I typically say don't molest such a nice car. But if you have the chops, this would make an epic sleeper ride. Stock everything visible. I would have endless fun killing civics and mustangs with that car. I don't plan to swap the the motor and trans unless something fails, so I don't think the factory 80hp is gonna kill any mustangs. Maybe an unsuspecting civic though. haha Got the car out today since it was sunny and took it down to the shop to try on some wheels I have laying around. I could only find cone style lug nuts so I couldn't try on my ssr's. We fit 5 cars in 1,100sq ft(my longbed 620 is waay back there) The longchamps are 7.5et+9 and it looks like there's still plenty of room in the rear so thats a nice sign. I like the look of the dunlop meshies, really completes the 80's look. I have a pair of 14x7 weds mesh wheels to "match" these coming in from japan once we get our container filled. I love mis-matched wheels on old cars, but this car is so clean I think almost matching wheels will be best.lol Quick photoshop to confirm that all cars look better tucking tire Quote Link to comment
Lonestar
That is one sweet 210, cleaner than my silver 210! Loving that black pin strip design going down the sides, I may have to uh, 'borrow' that look from ya! Just got some new pieces for mine and about ready to swap the 15's out for JDM 14's I have, I'll be keeping my eye on this one, your going in the right direction! 1 Quote Link to comment

That is a beautiful car! Almost as pretty as mine :) Yes, in the states your car is a 210 but is also known as a B310 elsewhere. Actually, you're ID plate will have B310 on it. I think Nissan was messing with us 210 owners. 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yep, in the USA it is a Datsun model B310. Check out your engine compartment ID plate. 1 Quote Link to comment

Thanks guys I wasn't looking to buy another car, but it was too good to past up. Actually my shop is full and I had to park the 210 at a buddies house just to keep it out of the weather. Picked up another pair of zx struts from a buddy for the 210, they were pretty rusty but they cleaned up just fine. I'm gonna rebuild the calipers and get new rotors, probably need new shocks as well. Gonna just do split collars and new springs as well, not as low as my 510 but need to get rid of some of wheel gap. Decided to breakdown the struts on the 510 since I was already going through the new set. gonna just do all new wheel-bearings and rebuild the calipers while they are all apart Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Regardless I do know that it's a 2 door sedan rather than a coupe. And I'm very glad you know that. Most new 210 owners don't. Until today, I'd have said all new 210 owners don't. ^_^ Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Like most automakers. A 2-dr sedan has a back seat area the same size as a 4-dr sedan. Hence the 510 and 210 2-drs sedans use the same roofline and same rear window as the 4-door. The coupes have a different (nominally smaller) rear seat area with different back windows. datsunfreak
I found this out when I bought my 510 and called it a coupe  Yeah, that's about 95% of new 510 2dr owners. The other 5% just call it a 2dr. 1 Quote Link to comment
hoodradKyle
I love this little car, it is easy to drive and I don't have to worry about anything. (Its the lowest mileage car I own.) Only thing was it was kinda dorky sitting up at factory height so I finally got around to changing it. I know I could easily go lower, but I love driving this thing and not worrying about scraping or rubbing tires(that's what the 510 is for  ) I'm not really happy with the wheels, but these are what were holding air when I lowered it. Also I needed 14's to clear the front zx brakes. I also drilled a hole in each of the bumper supports and drained them and pushed them back in, they look so much better tucked that I may not even look for JDM bumpers now. I think my front bumper was always angled down for whatever reason, but now its even more noticeable. I may try to bend it back up but it will work fine for now 2 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Looks great! Might I ask how you pushed it in? By hand? 1 Quote Link to comment
hoodradKyle
Looks great! Might I ask how you pushed it in? By hand? We started pushing on it then we got the idea to roll a heavy wheel and tire into it and that worked fairly easily Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
After drilling let them set overnight to drain the fluid, easier to push in that way. 1 Quote Link to comment
