Back in the early 70's I was a kid working at the Bonners Ferry airport weekends and summers, we had an early V-35 come in and he got the gear instead of flaps on rollout.  the mains stayed down, but we bucked a lot of rivets in the nose of that plane while it was in for repairs.

Yup, the RAAF had these in service up until December 3rd 2010.
