MikeRL411
So why does this apparent XB36 with the Tupolev type nose glass have a current 50 star American Flag! Note, no adjunct jet pods. 1 Quote Link to comment

Might just be normal 747 functionality there if it wasn't based on a passenger plane, which by the windows being that far forward it was Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
So why does this apparent XB36 with the Tupolev type nose glass have a current 50 star American Flag! Note, no adjunct jet pods. Well, all of the production B-36 bombers had this nose before Tupolev copied off the B-29. And this bird is in the Strategic Air and Space Museum, hence why they would be flying a current flag. This is the XB-36. Note the different nose on it and yes, the lack of Jet Pods 2 Quote Link to comment

Boeing bought the design rights from Lockheed when Boeing lost the C5 contract. Boeing was planning ahead for the day the 747 was retired from passenger service and converted to freight status.
