hobospyder Posted July 10, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2015 took her to the dump yesterday and lost my keys because i had them on top of the cab and they got tangled up in the ratchet straps. luckily i didn't have to go fishing in the pile. went to start her up and the ignition switch ran away so held onto the back end of it and got home, tightened the little plastic ring thing back on at the house instead of sitting in the dump building any longer. weird ass dump. i'll have to take a picture next time i go. then i headed down to the shop to get some cleaning done, put together my extra engine stand to throw the z22 motor that denmarkboy brought up for me when he brought up the canby truck and realized i didn't have any bolts to hold it on there.... so tear down commenced in place here's the pile of parts at the end bare-ish block that hammer came in handy btw, #2 and #3 pistons didn't want to come out without some effort all lined up even though i don't plan on using them or the block l20b crank above, z22 below and i can tell you the z22 crank weighs more. also, after removing the lower end and internals, found out i could pick up and move around the block by myself which was nice. gonna get it pressure washed and cleaned up and it'll probably be a table after a fashion if nobody decides they want it. now to get all the parts together and info from my mechanic for his machine shop guy that lives up in sedro and get some money and i'll send it all out to get done up. hoping this is all worth it in the long run. need to get around to figuring out the five speed i got sitting in the back of toolbox too. 2 Link to comment

Pressure wash, sandblast, pressure wash maybe a spray of clear or blue rattle can on the thing. Clear down the cylinders and across the mating surface, blue everywhere else if I go that route and find a chunk of glass to cover the mating surface 1 Link to comment

At the weird ass dump that I just don't understand You go inside this building and throw the trash on the floor. So weird. Will update with average gas mileage over the past 3 or 4 weeks later. hobospyder Posted July 18, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 18, 2015 got home from hanging out with qtip at griots yesterday and felt like doing a thing, so i did average gas mileage over the past 1557.3 miles is 22.46. best tank got 23.9mpg worse tank got 20.3mpg. could probably do better with a 32/36 and less of a heavy foot but yaknow.... 4 Link to comment

Lil miss representing up in flip flop land ! dude i wear my hoodie when i ride. may not be in a datto but still representing. i figured the winshield is staying in for a while and probably won't get replaced so why not just pull the trigger and put it there. still need a blue one to match my wheels, i'm so picky aren't i? I don't know why but that purple hood looks really good on there :) that's what qtip was saying yesterday. it's kinda growing on me actually. will be repainted when the truck gets done but probably not going to be touch until then. had an idea come up for the panel on the bottom side too. qtip mentioned airbrushing it when i get it off to fix the dent in the middle. i already have an idea of what i want under there just need to find a good airbrusher and save up some money for it 2 Link to comment

hobospyder Posted August 22, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 22, 2015 no real update as i haven't had money to work on her after the charge light came on but i think i just need to replace the battery cables. one of the two has been rubbing on the inner fender and i'm thinking it might've worn through or my battery is bad. hoping it's that simple. made myself broke picking up ducky chan but i got these today they may end up on little miss at some point in place of the ratsun ones since i don't have the car i want to put them on yet..... but it will show up eventually 1 Link to comment

Pulled her out, drove around the neighborhood and pulled her back in to put her on jack stands and see about starting the disk brake swap. And then in the process of getting the drum off this happened Didn't get the drum off yet... kinda upset about that. Will go back to beat on it with my bfh next chance I get Video later.
