housew
jeep made the FC in a bunch of different configurations. Including a van. the fc150 was short light truck and the fc170 was longer with a higher weight rating. They did make an fc170 dully. I have a SRW FC170 qued up in on my project list, already got the truck, just looking for some time. I've never seen a crew cab in person. I can only imagine that working on one would be an absolute nightmare. Anyone have interior shots? do you have to take out all the seats and open a hatch to check the oil? Quote Link to comment

RMP&O
My old Pinzgauer. 1975 712m, ex-Austrian military. Purchased by Mike Warn of Warn Industries in 1993 after it was de-commissioned from the military. Then built up for the 1994 Warn Transylvania Trophy held in the Ukraine. Mike drove it himself in the race. It then lived in Europe until 2000 when it was imported to the USA. It has been all over the world including racing in Morocco. I bought it in 2002, sold it in 2005, bought it back in 2013 and sold it the same year. Pretty cool truck with a rich and well documented history, came with a video of Mike driving it in the 94 Trans Trophy. 6-wheel drive, shift on the fly, 6-wheel lockers shift on the fly at any speed, 4-cyl air cooled engine, portal axles, independent suspension. Central backbone chassis with a unibody on top of that. Very unique truck! This was my 04 Tacoma. Bought it bone stock n 2007. Outfitted with with super charger, 7th injector, Doug Thorely headers, free flow exhaust, small pulley on S/C, lift, aux fuel tank, frame strengthening, custom bumpers and more. Out fitted the back for camping with a fridge, 20gal fresh water tank on a pressurized system, storage bins, 2nd battery, camping lights out the back and much more! I then drove it to Panama and back twice! Over 25,000 miles put on the truck in Latin America over 7 months and the truck never let me down. Lived out of the truck for the majority of that 7 months. Traded it in 2012 for a v8 FJ 60 Land Cruiser. Cheers 3 Quote Link to comment
paradime
Bitchen retro modernist design. Pre Star Wars, but you can see how designers were thinking about the future back then. You could put this concept right on the set for a movie like Logan's Run, THX 1138, or Blade Runner and it'd if right in. Very similar design theme as the Delorean, Renault Alpine, and the Lotus Esprit of the time. Quote Link to comment
housew
John delorean was a hack from GM that tried to make a sports car, failed, then just let lotus fix it. A delorean and an esprit are super super similar cars in structure. Just a delorean is uglier (just look at it), heavier (because stainless), and much slower (really, a volvo v6?) I've driven both and LOVE the esprit, the delorean gets more looks, but not as much fun to drive, even with the twin turbo kit that was added to it :P 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
Delorean was short sighted, focused too much on image/design and totally dropped the ball on substance. Quote Link to comment
housew
that is more accurate than my my shorter description of just "hack". I agree Quote Link to comment

I also like and would love to own a DMC Delorean. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
And with optional equipment, such as the "exterminate" option. With this added to the list of luxuries, you will be able to hear the word "exterminate" spoken repeatedly out of an externally mounted loud speaker. Our most popular option! 1 Quote Link to comment
