All those burbs are nice......except for the wheels, always with big. Shit. Wheels. That just gotta stop

I have decided that I don't want it to stop, then other people would be cool like me....and I can't have that.

Seriously though, for me, few things look better than a really nice set of original wheels and in some cases, the rear widened just a little. Keep in mind, this is coming from a guy who has scrapped more stock steel wheels in his life that should be allowed by law. It was one of the first things I used to do. Fuckin idiot.

I like the stock jobs on my 71 Ford too, but I think I like the slots a little better. One thing that the tire market is missing these days is a 36 inch tall, skinny(ish) radial that's not a fuckin super swamper. You can still get the old 9.00-16s in a bias if you look around a bit. Tried them on the stock steels, they looked awesome, but I have been fully spoiled by radials now. That fucker with the bias tires was nuts to drive in the rain, getting on the freeway, it felt like I was on ice, give it some throttle and sideways it would go, which is fine....if it ever would STOP. At 65 mph could pull out to pass someone and would pretty much drift past them. Thing is, that truck really is not THAT powerful, the tires just sucked.

tall skinny non super swampers are tough to find. Lot of power wagon guys run the STA super lugs. They look like a pretty agressive all terrain and are the right size but i'm pretty sure they aren't radials. I was thinking of trying em out on my old international.

I ran some bias ply swamper on my jeep for about a year. Those bishes would flat spot over night. When i switched to normal radial mud terrains i found a bunch of driveline issues i didn't know about since the swampers howelled and rode so shitty i never knew untill i took them off. I have swampers on my jeep again now, but it never sees pavement or >40mph so it doesn't matter much.

My friend had those wooly bogger swampers on his fullsize cherokee that i put tranfer case older trans into so i had to test drive it for awhile,,, That thing would come up to stop signs with about the same vibration as a Massey Ferguson..

I had 31x10.50 15 TSLs on my 81 stock height Toyota and that damn thing went pert near anywhere. and i drove it Tumwater-Port Orchard every day for 2 years and it wasn't that bad... couldn't hear the radio even at full volume though.
