paradime
That's no stock Duramax though. If we're pitting modified against stock, than I have a 510 that will absolutely smoke a 2015 Vett. 3 Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
I just find it funny how all the moronic Chebby fanboys talk all the :poop: about our "Jap" vehicles and yet their big hero powerplant, the Duramax is made by Isuzu! (Note how MORONIC is in italics. That means only the stupid Chevy owners, not ALL Chevy owners!) 2 Quote Link to comment
cr83
Haha I've owned one of everything, not just Chevys, I also drive an armada, I just like stirring the pot, and it worked haha 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
Well done Mr. CR83, well done indeed. 1 Quote Link to comment
JoeCool
Heck, I think I or someone in the family have owned most of the brands too. If I haven't owned it I have driven and worked on it through my 17 years as a mechanic. No real brand loyalty with me. I do keep going back to Nissans though. I have owned four Nissan trucks so far. I had some brand loyalty due to getting a huge discount through Ford when I worked there. 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
In my experience (I've owned everything but a Mazda) everything is going to break something, they're all pieces of shit, it just depends on which piece of shit you like the most. 7 Quote Link to comment
paradime
I am an unabashed Nissan/Datsun fanboy, but I still like my P.O.S. Acura MDX. Truth is my street driving days are pretty much over, but I still rock the UFO auto cross events here and there with my brother. If I can walk the course pre race and plot it out in my mind, I'm still competitive. Datsun makes me do it. No Chevy would ever do that. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
Well, that changes everything! I am thoroughly convinced!! I am selling my shit and buying me a diesel pick up to go beat up on Hondas! Now, who has a totally set up for racing, non stock, pick up for sale? So I can go after cars that maybe have a K&N filter. Anybody? 'merica! 1 Quote Link to comment

Engineered obsolescence is part of their product development plan. Same reason Japan cuts their cars in half after 40k, keeps the auto industry's factories turning out and selling new product. . JoeCool
Why V8 diesels? Because the 'Murica rednecks that buy the majority of the trucks who do not them in the first place think more cylinders equals more power and torque. They couldn't deal with a 5liter four cylinder in their pickup, it would not suffice in overcompensation for the tiny penises! 2 Quote Link to comment

I worked at a Chevy dealer for two years (10-12) as a mechanic. The engines were Isuzu and I installed Isuzu brand parts on them, so... Quote Link to comment

paradime
Uh, not to dis GM, but Ford didn't need, nor did that take any bailout money. That was GM and Chrysler who would have gone belly up. 2 Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
i know i just think ford is one of those conspiracy theories.... like we sold the most vehicles ever yet build ugly shit ... yet what car manufacturer doesn't build ugly shit these days 2 Quote Link to comment
