Those chrome ones look awesome Yeah, the real one's are blasted expensive. O.o These are just some random mirrors that happened to look good on the hood. A lot better than some of the other fender mirrors guys are running on their trucks. I like them... now ditch the headlight tape. Thanks man. The one's I can never get over are the massive black things. XD Those just look... unbalanced? And as for the tape... It comes and goes depending on what I've been up to lately. *Wink wink nod nod* Quote Link to comment

EdwardK
theyre mirrors, and theyre on your fenders. looks good. i assume you mounted them on the fender that allows for the greatest usability? Yes! Though now that I've had them for a week or so, I've decided I shoulda mounted them about six inches further forward where most old japanese cars have them. Oh well, when I get the real one's I'll remedy it. Quote Link to comment

620Aaron
^^^ They're generic aftermarket mirrors found at most parts stores. Mine were $10 a piece at Baxter. Quote Link to comment
norcal werkz
I have the same ones, was going to put then on my door. But might think about it some more after seeing this. Looks good Quote Link to comment

EdwardK
Awesome reference man! I have since upgraded the towers to the ones that lean outwards and moved them to where they're supposed to be. (Close enough anyway.) Got the holes from my first try patched up today. I'll post pics soon. c: Quote Link to comment
Spawn
Dawa, is this a reference picture for a 620 or something else? Also, does anyone happen to have a picture of what the original OEM fender mirrors looked like? I'd really like to see what original looked like to decide what to do as far as mirrors are concerned. Not sure if I want to go door mirrors or fender mirrors at this point, but kinda leaning toward fender mounted. Quote Link to comment
mikeanike99
That is a 620. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
does anyone happen to have a picture of what the original OEM fender mirrors looked like? The original Ever Wings may be expensive but they are worth it. Will still look new after 40 years. 2 Quote Link to comment
Spawn
The original Ever Wings may be expensive but they are worth it. Will still look new after 40 years. ggzilla, thank you so much! I'm guessing that those mirrors are probably quite hard to find now? Any idea how much they would cost and where they could be found? All I've seen for fender mirrors tends to be the round styles, or perhaps the black plastic ones similar to the ones from the 80's or so (remember seeing them as aftermarket mirrors that were supposed to be sportier with an aerodynamic look, sort of rectangular bullet style). ggzilla
They are for sale all the time. The plastic ones will cost about $100 shipped to usa. The good chrome round ones about $300/pair. 620 Standard mirrors are round chrome 620 Deluxe mirrors are trapezoidal chrome 620 Late (1977-1978) are plastic aero mirrors. They don't hold up so well. 1 Quote Link to comment

They don't hold up so welI I'm looking at fitting them on a '77, so I guess that would mean if I wanted to stick to the era, I should be getting the plastic aero mirrors. How come they don't hold up so well? Simply due to the fact that they are plastic rather than chromed metal? Do the aero ones generally have a rod or shaft of some type going up through the support arm to hold the mirror itself on? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, the plastic gets faded over time. Quote Link to comment
raul
where I can buy that kind of mirrors....please let me know 1 Quote Link to comment
Hawaiian620
Same question. Figure ebay would have them. Just seeing if anyone whos ordered them before would have a link 1 Quote Link to comment
Cosmonaut
Yahoo Japan Auction. Google Yahoo Japan Auction and Datsun1200.com. After you have played for awhile seeing items you would love to own. Find a site such as "JapanOrder". They bid on your behalf for a fee. It is all legit, I have bought many a item that way over the years. 2 Quote Link to comment
Rockman1
I ordered a turning switch for my truck. The part didn't even come close to what my truck needed. I had to send it back and it was shipped here in the U.S. So i asked ebay if I can send it back to the seller in the United States and they said it was OK to send it back to the address in the U.S. And now they won't refund my money back I didn't send it back to Thailand which would have cost me more in shipping when I payed to have it shipped to me in the first place! Now they want me to pay more to send it back! I told EBAY to go to hell and this is the second time they screw me out of my money! The truck is a 1979 Datsun 620 long bed. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
There were three different turn signal switches used on the 620. '73-'74, '75-'77 and '78-'79. Quote Link to comment
