KlassicMotion
I'm not really an expert, but is the frame supposed to bend like that? Yes, most frames do have arch in them to lower the vehicle closer to the ground and still allow for the suspension travel; It became more common around1930 onward. That's also around the same time period manufacturers moved from Spiral Bevel cut gear sets to Hypoid ring and pinion gear sets. Hypoid style gears lower the pinion gear on the the ring gear, allowing for a stronger gear set, but also allows for a lower transmission tunnel hump. When people say they "Z'd" their frame (typically hot rods and extremely lowered vehicles), this is what they are referring to. They "arch" the frame even more, to get the vehicle to sit really low. laotsu
THIS IS A GREAT PRICE MARK ... http://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/4158293364.html If I were thinking about a low 521, I would skip the hard part and start with this one. So much going for it, with a super price. I doubt one could be built for this price! (more can be seen here -> http://community.ratsun.net/topic/49300-5500-1972-datsun-521-ka24e-bagged-and-body-dropped/) god that's a lame truck. Quote Link to comment

Unless the other side of the truck is completely plowed, it's probably a strong $850-1500 truck right? 1 Quote Link to comment

Idk why else he would want to part it out especially it being a pre-smog here in California. That price seems good to me, higher if in good condition like it seems to be, lower if not. If motor is really not good then I would say $600, if it has no bad cancer rust. EDIT: NEVERMIND SAYS MOTOR IS GOOD! Quote Link to comment

He is using parts off of it to finish his other 620. Then next week he will put the parts from the other truck on to this one and sell complete. Both trucks have clean title and run he says.... So I guess keep an eye out on CL :) Quote Link to comment

It was posted a couple times back, maybe 20 or so pages back... Either he is just marketing across country, or something else. No phone number, good luck gettting a response.... At least that's how it's been for me lately with CL. Quote Link to comment

That, or he's asking for some crazy money for it where nobody will mess with it. But seems pretty suspicious to be listing it in Denver all the way from Oregon.
