125 CSL
This is a cool bit of candy https://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/d/1968-saab-sonett-v4/6255778569.html 1968 SAAB Sonett V4 - 120 horse power. Motor, transmission & exhaust by Jack Lawrence, Jamestown, New York several years ago. Still runs strong, uses no oil.SAAB made just over 1800 of these rare cars, this is VIN #428. The first 218 Sonnets were three cylinder two-stroke motors. This is a V4Four speed manual on the column shifter, lots of leg room without a center console. Previous owner built this car for speed, thus bigger tires and wheel flares. 3 Quote Link to comment

Before we bought it about a year ago it had sat in storage since 1977. Runs and drives but will need a brake job. Flat head six cylinder with 3 speed on the column. Have rebuild kits for wheel cylinders, master cylinder and carburetor. Interior is in pretty good shape, has seat covers. Passenger window has cracks, but would be inexpensive to replace, as it is flat glass. Has some passenger side damage, and a few small rust areas. Has new tires. Have some of the original paperwork from 1952, besides the title. $3100 2 Quote Link to comment
Profile
Windell Scott is the only man of color to ever win a Nascar race. And he did it all on his own. He raced with no help except his kids. All 5 of his kids went on to college on just the money he made racing. Just shows that if you want it bad enough, you can do it. RIP racer. 5 Quote Link to comment

I was looking it over and wondering if i could set it on a roadster frame to make RWD. That v4 is pretty sweet though. They are neat cars just too bad they are FWD. 1 Quote Link to comment

125 CSL
Oh man! My childhood revisited. https://bangshift.com/general-news/car-features/ford-car-features/redemption-find-1980-ford-pinto-wagon/ 1980 Ford Pinto Wagon Wow just wow. Seats as I remember them, transplant v8 under the hood, traction bars. except the big goofy tack and funky wheels. 3 Quote Link to comment
angliagt
The V4 was a Ford engine designed for industrial use. Nevertheless it is a good engine! It was used in the English Ford Corsair. The story I read was that they used a Sonnet to test it in, & Saab decided to use it after that. I also had two Corsairs, but with the 1500 straight four. Quote Link to comment
