datzenmike
That shit looks nasty enough to see through the reservoir. Probably the original fluid from Japan. Hydraulic fluid in the brake and clutch should be replaced every 3-5 years. . Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Dot 3 brake fluid, as usual. Like mike said, you should probably flush the clutch system, but also your entire brake system with fresh fluid as well. Brake (clutch) fluid absorbs moisture out of the air and turns dark in the process, signalling you to change it. The moisture in the fluid leads to corrosion inside the system, and in the case of brakes will cause the fluid to boil prematurely. Quote Link to comment
Dawa
brake fluid. but bump it up to DOT 4. Quote Link to comment

4perrev
Look at the manual or call a Nissan dealer for the correct fluid. The only difference between DOT 3 and 4 is the temp rating. For a clutch, the temp won't really get that high. This is off http://www.davidcmurphy.com/olddat/620tech3.htm and it says, DOT 3 (MVSS 116), SAE J1703C. Quote Link to comment
thatguy
Um don't fill it with dish soap. To sho I heard that's what they do (or did) in Cuba. Apparently they couldn't get brake fluid. Quote Link to comment
