Unless you are a wizard with spray cans, flat black is hard to lay even looking. I would do plasti-dip...

I painted mine matte black with an actual automotive paint and gun. Never painted a vehicle before so I made rookie mistakes, but overall it looks good. I'm going to strip it all down and do the body work to it in the future anyhow, so it's no big deal

Eagle. If you buy a cheap spray gun and some flat black paint, it will lay on a lot better than spray can stuff.

I have never looked at old volvos but this car is amazing. I may have to buy an old euro soon...

Adam, I have a brand new HVLP gun, a DA sander and a good compressor for when you get the space to paint figured out. Give me a holler when the day comes. Also, I just finished up the vector files for the 620/521 tailgate letters. The neon green vinyl I have looks like a match for the wheel color... :D

 

Weld the bed seams, fender seams, and cab corners before paint? I've got a Lincoln mig    :devil:

 

I'd drive that volvo.

the timing was thrown off in the crash and its been getting worse since so i stopped by nismodr's to borrow a timing light. Runs much better now
