It has been (and will continue to be) a slow process, but I have made a little progress. jeremy_crager
I had some parts for sell about a year ago. I was even giving some new parts away but no one seemed interested. I still have a complete L18 and 4 speed in my storage building if someone would just get it, they could have it. I appreciate all the kind words from you guys. Any other questions or comments are welcomed. Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
What are you running for front springs,i hope you got like a 450# spring because my truck bottoms out with the 350# and thats with a L series block, but i like what your doing here.. Quote Link to comment
jeremy_crager
I think that I have either 350 or 400lb springs. I was orignally using a LS1(all aluminum) but I saved the money and bought the LM7, so I bought springs rated for the LS1. If I have problems with them, new springs are only like $70. jeremy_crager
Sorry for the delay guys, been having ex-wife issues that cost. So that slowed me down a lot, but here are some pictures to hopefully get you guys back interested. I have the cab sitting back on the frame and I had to cut off a ton of shit (as you can tell). I moved the engine back a pretty good bit to keep the weight behind the front wheels. Built a bolt in transmission crossmember. Hopefully soon I can get my headers then start rebuilding my firewall. As always questions and comments are welcomed. Quote Link to comment

Dawa
i am a wheel snob so you can ignore this comment if you dont care but i feel your truck deserves better than those MB wheels. coilovers: what setup/springs/etc did you go with? are they at the required minimum 20 degree angle? how did you convert to five lug? just spacer/adapters? red76datsun
this is bitchin. cant wait to see the firewall all sealed up. Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
I like the wheels... First thing that caught my eye. Cool build . keep it up. This may sound funny: go to home depot, lawn and garden, wheel barrows , and think fire wall............... Old school fab trick #107 Quote Link to comment

QA1 Promostars w/ 400# springs I think. I couldn't quite get 20 degrees out of them but, QA1 said I should be fine with the 14-16 degrees that i could get. how did you convert to five lug? just spacer/adapters? The rear end is a built Ford 9" so I just had the hubs drilled the pattern I needed. The front are Rodeo rotors and the stock hubs machined and re-drilled. Quote Link to comment

I had already been thinking in that direction. I actually had to cut more out than I had thought I would. I'm almost positive that I'm going to have to offset my gas and brake pedal an inch or two. Dawa
gotcha. im eventually going the qa1 coilover route as well but havent figured out which set up & springs yet. you remember about how much it cost to drill/machine the front hubs/rotors? Quote Link to comment
jeremy_crager
The guy kinda screwed me in my opinion. $200 but that was still cheaper than some of the other options I guess. Quote Link to comment
jeremy_crager
If anyone reading this has a steering gear box that's in pretty good shape (not alot of freeplay), please pm me. I'm having alot of trouble finding one. I live in south Mississippi and there are very, very few Datsuns around here. Even if someone knew where one was at that they could get, I'd be willing to pay $100-$125 +shipping for one in good shape. I need the bearings, mine are completely shot. Quote Link to comment
jeremy_crager
Damn, none of you guys on the west coast have an extra steering gear laying around? Quote Link to comment
