herculesinwyoming
Went and rented a auto transport to go get Mr Raiders wrecked king Cab. The computers at U Haul said my 2005 chevy 2500 HD was too small for the job. So i had to sign a waiver in case anything goes wrong. Im Sure my 8100 engine should handle the job just fine. Heading out for the 4 hour drive early in the morning. Quote Link to comment

herculesinwyoming
Maybe they were trying to run me off, this is the only car hauler available in over a 250 mile radius. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Their computers didn't have a 71 510 in the database. I'm sure you'll be fine. 1 Quote Link to comment
1lo620
I rented a uhaul trailer a few years back and hauled my 620 from Seattle to Cali, and then to Arizona and then back. I used a Chevy Tahoe... they didnt have an issue. and it did just fine... seems odd, to me... Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
they told me once that my Jeep cant tow anything bigger than a bike rack. full size A\T and a 68 Dodge Dart 4 door later, seems just fine to me. oh by the way, 87 Jeep Cherokee, the DOWNSIZED one. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's not just the power to pull it along. The tow vehicle has to have the brakes and suspension and be heavy enough to 'handle' that much weight hanging off the back. It's a scary feeling when the trailer starts telling you where to go. devilsbullet
what mike said. but along with that, they let me trailer a 280z and a 69 buick skylark (not really a small car...) in my dads stock 95 f150...something seems wrong with this picture Quote Link to comment
darrel
a 2500 too small? I think they punched in the wrong info. The uhaul place I used to pick up a 620kc didn't even ask what I was going to tow it with. Quote Link to comment
herculesinwyoming
Truck is all loaded up and ready to head home. My Big Chevy hardly noticed it was there. Quote Link to comment

Truer words have never been spoken ...... Wheel base is where it's at ..... Twice I have had a trailer start to drive the tow vehicle .....both times a handful to stop with out wrecking Quote Link to comment
