It's been done several times. Search box is a more useful tool than blurting out questions in someone else's thread and hoping to get answers. Best bet is to read a lot, ask a few questions in the appropriate sections and start your own build thread. Welcome to ratsun.

dakotahchore, I found that adding new weatherstrip around the rear hatch helped quite a bit with exhaust fumes. Of course extending the exhaust all the way back will help too. The swap looks clean. Should be a fun driver.

Yeah, I need all 4 door seals and new hatch seals... trying to hunt down where to buy some decent ones.

Did some more interior work today! Finished cutting all my custom strips of carpet for the rocker-ish area and in front of the back seat. Bought a wal mart area rug and cut it to fit for the rear cargo area, screwed it down under the trim on the seat along with the old rubber mat for a nice thick protection in the back. Sealed up some plate properly the PO cut for a Z series gas tank with some flex-seal. Interior is coming along excellently! Gonna go rooting around the junkyard soon for a center console, weighing my options for lowering the rear some more...

Goodbye paychecks!

Installed the escort console... turned out to be a lot of work! Built some custom brackets and measured measured measured to make sure it fit well and didn't interrupt shifting... need to stitch a custom shift boot up for it and it will be perfect! Also changed out the starter, no pics of that though...

Anyways, I am planning on doing a double din touch screen head unit in the car. Have yet to figure out how or where but the possibilities are either customizing the original radio position or somehow using that gap between the console and the original dash piece to mount one? Lots of bondo and sanding is gonna be goin down... OICS.

Small semi update: Had to order seat belt extensions for them to work comfortably. Rockauto sent the wrong speedo pinion stuff so they are sending me new stuff fo free, will do both of these next weekend. Also curious; how much would it cost to have paint stripped off an old set of Enkei's that i have and returned to polished lip with a colored center?

Deleted the old power steering pump that was about to explode... Went a different route than most ratsuners and used a bracket and belt I found online and bought an AC idler pulley from nissanpartszone... Works perfectly, car sounds much, much better now without the old dry pump!

Got the speedometer working. Cut up the VSS to make a shim to run the 280zx speedo pinion+510 automatic cable. Works like a charm, didn't get oics though..

Nice pic of my girl.
