No the seal seals around the driveshaft yoke and the inside surface of the housing . That weirdness shouldn't be a problem unless it scrapes against driveshafty and makes noise and what-not.

You might find seals locally  , if not Oriellys type store,,,,,,,,,,,,

It's over by South puget Sound CC  real easy to find,, If  you have a dog,, go a tiny bit up the road and there's a powdercoating shop that my German Shepherd takes a crap in the hedges at every time we are up that way.

I didn't do anything.

That seal is from napa.

And I had another different seal from O'Reillys.

OH and I like NWD!! But I normally try to keep each up to date with what I'm working with on the 521.. just stopped for a little on here. You been on the fb Ratsun?? That's some real fuckary right there that I indeed stay away from.

Are you sure it isn't over filled ?  Is there grooves in the yoke?

If you need a new ( to you ) yoke i probably have one laying around ,, Is it just a 521 4speed yoke? Did yo seal the end with freeze plug?

(edit)  i read up a tiny bit and see what your using .. for a yoke so scratch those questions.

Haha yeah. I'm pretty stumped.

First I fix a pinion angle problem with 4° shims cuz that was forsure a problem. Once I fixed that I still had the problem.. that made me think about trying what I did in the video just to see if it was my seal that wasn't work annnnd. It's not.

Take a new seal and put it directly onto yolk ,,, and see if it is tight fit. You never know ,,maybe there is a glitch somewhere.. Like i said though at Applied, they will measure what you have and the yoke you bring in ,,, and search their wherehouses for it.

Would have been a beeeeeeutiful day to wobble that 521 around town today..
