wayno
Yea, if you crawl out the window to get out of the second 521 once you have it in the garage, having room to work on the Datsuns in the garage is over rated. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
No I've got some building to do so I can have a work bench and a vice, need more shelving as well.. Need a vice haha. Also need some people to come over and show me their datsuns! Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
let me get one of my two running good and i can possibly drive down. Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
I think I could maybe put another 521 in there. Maaaybe. it would be hard. i can see two mini trucks in there. at least it's a 1.5 car garage, better than gravel driveway right? Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
and i'm sorry but is that purple hair? and the actual question i wanted to ask was what size is that trailer? Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
That's purple hair, I think some blue too. Way fucking better then gravel. As far as the trailer I have no idea. Isn't mine, buts it's 20 ft. Probably 14/6 not sure. Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
hmm... ok, been looking at car haulers recently and that one looks to be perfect size Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I'll ask for you. Won't find out tell tomorrow probably. Thing is perfect size, they 'gf family' bought it for quad trips to the coast. Fit the datsun with pplenty of room for washer drier and a few larger shelves like for a printer. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Not sure if it can hole two cars though. We'll in fact I know it cant. Quote Link to comment

uberkevin
So in the video that isn't the yoke I'm using but you get the idea. My set up is 520 one piece with 720 yoke and a 85 short transmission. That's a new seal. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Is my problem the fucked up chewed upness around the shaft? Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I'd like to say that's how everything looked once I took out the old seal. I used a dentist tool to remove the seal. Would this be making my seal leak as much as it is? Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Much more info here. http://nwdatsuns.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=77&start=1080 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Wow you fucked that up!!  No the seal seals around the driveshaft yoke and the inside surface of the housing . That weirdness shouldn't be a problem unless it scrapes against driveshafty and makes noise and what-not. You might find seals locally , if not Oriellys type store,,,,,,,,,,,, Applied Industrial Technologies 2747 RW Johnson Blvd SW, Olympia, WA 98512 It's over by South puget Sound CC real easy to find,, If you have a dog,, go a tiny bit up the road and there's a powdercoating shop that my German Shepherd takes a crap in the hedges at every time we are up that way. 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Oh ,,,,, by the way ,, i ain't going nowhere to "find" info on some second rate chatroom,,,,,,,,, post it here or GTFO . 2 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I didn't do anything. That seal is from napa. And I had another different seal from O'Reillys. OH and I like NWD!! But I normally try to keep each up to date with what I'm working with on the 521.. just stopped for a little on here. You been on the fb Ratsun?? That's some real fuckary right there that I indeed stay away from. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
The other seal also leaked a shit ton. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
That's how it sets now. Flush to the trans. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Are you sure it isn't over filled ? Is there grooves in the yoke? If you need a new ( to you ) yoke i probably have one laying around ,, Is it just a 521 4speed yoke? Did yo seal the end with freeze plug? (edit) i read up a tiny bit and see what your using .. for a yoke so scratch those questions. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Haha yeah. I'm pretty stumped. First I fix a pinion angle problem with 4° shims cuz that was forsure a problem. Once I fixed that I still had the problem.. that made me think about trying what I did in the video just to see if it was my seal that wasn't work annnnd. It's not. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Nah not over filled. I filled tell oil poured out, then plug the hole. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Take a new seal and put it directly onto yolk ,,, and see if it is tight fit. You never know ,,maybe there is a glitch somewhere.. Like i said though at Applied, they will measure what you have and the yoke you bring in ,,, and search their wherehouses for it. Would have been a beeeeeeutiful day to wobble that 521 around town today.. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I'll give that a try thanks banana! I just want to drive more then 5 minutes. Quote Link to comment
