Stock wheels w/3/4" spacers...

photobucket-8309-1348811642981.jpg

Really nice truck! those wheels give a fresh look to the 521. Two questions, what tire size did you put with the xterra wheels? and, did you use the same 3/4" spacers with the xterra and also with the stock wheels?

got my air cleaner and cover back from jrock and installed. Why do people cut the snouts off of air cleaners?  Jon decided to finger it...

looking for another to replace it...

I'm pretty sure our old one is in a box in our basement.  I can take a look and send some photos sometimes this weekend if you might be interested.

It might be a little dirtier after running it for a year or so after this photo was taken, but it gives you an idea.

Yeah, we pulled it off to get the weber on a few months ago, and just put it in a box.  Since we're going EFI, there really won't be any need for it, so might as well let it go to someone who will use it.  From what I recall, it's pretty much perfect, might just need a little clean up is all.

Ran into a problem after I got a full tank off gas and some groceries.  My one piece driveline would rub on the cab/trans tunnel when I accelerated or hit a the smallest of bumps...

this is the clearance I had without me in it...

have more clearance now, no more problem.

When I first lowered it with 4'blocks, I did what jon and hans did with hans' truck.  took out the bump stops and put in a piece of rubber.  I also ground the ears off the U bolt bracket so they didnt hit the bolts.

Also, put in the same style mazda window seal rubbers Jrock did on his 521.  Im sure everyone familiar with shitty old window felt.  or some like to install carpet, like some PO did on mine..

Had to be cut to fit, but work nice.  although it makes it hard to roll the window up, I put some soap in there to help it out.  Its nice not to have the windows rattle on every bump, or even when my door was open the idle would shake rattle.  No More!! woo hoo..  Also the cab warms up faster, and made for less wind noise.
