lol clutch master .... finally gave up the ghost and he bucked up and got a new one :confused:  :confused:  .... i think t was leaking or on its way out .... frank always seemed to be carrying fluid .......i think we had the same issue only mine was slave leaking ...

New headlights... took part in a pre-order sale.

 

dapper lighting 575 projectors, chrome housings, classic halo, and 55w 5000k HID kit.

Wiring was really easy and Dapper is very helpful with technical support. Everything is truly plug n play. Except for the halos. Clicked everything together on the couch and carried out...


Even layed my jacket on the ground..


Hardest part, like hobo, was the buckets. I did plan ahead a little and got a bag of stainless retainer ring screws...

 

first test drive, needs more adjusting.

 

Not diggin the halos. Extremely bright. And blue. Although they are good for emergency light if the fuse blows...

Classic halo ONLY at night next to stock datsun low beam. They a super bright.  not really diggin the halos, might try to install a resistor to dim the light or just unhook them.




My cutoff isn't level, bucket problems. But, lots of light. Adjusted a little low.

I havnt used high beams all that much. Waiting for the relay harness to come in next month or so. But when I have used them it's really weird going from a very bright white HID light to a yellow/orange halogen and back again.

just thought of an idea for dimming of the halos since i saw a dimmer switch today in a 620

 

maybe find a stock dimmer switch and attach them to, dim to your liking if it works?

problem is there leds and they dont like to dim with out flickering and being inconsistent

Leds require a pulse width modulator to correctly dim them. It could be done using the factory switch but it's going to take some work.

They are less jrock. At least iirc they are.

i like them ... i could do with out the halos and the chrome ring around the projector ... my h 4 housings run city lights and they are perfect for illuminating the housing .. i use led bulbs in the city lights .,.
