datsunfreak
Seen on the street today... Sadly, it did not have the proper RB26DETT in it... <_< Quote Link to comment
Hardwyre
Why would you do that if you're going to go short on the SINGLE PIECE that made the car special for that movie... THE ENGINE! That's like bragging you own an F-16 jet, but when people come to check it out, it's missing its wings. 1 Quote Link to comment

That's like bragging you own an F-16 jet, but when people come to check it out, it's missing its wings. Or more importantly the jet engines... which you can salvage and put in your wifes minivan Or... the M61 Vulcan cannon... which can mow down millions of zombies with a pull of the trigger.. ArchetypeDatsun
They made a lot of replicas of that car for the movie but only the real one that wasn't in the movie has the RB26 only did some stunts with one other one and I guess ripped out the RB26 and put the V8 back in, but all the others had V8's. datsunfreak
Yeah, kinda figured this must be one of the "B" cars from the movie. Can't believe anyone would go to that much trouble to build their own replica... :P Quote Link to comment
baja booie
that is a real one for second unit stunts the rb26 powered car was used mostly for first unit there were 6 of the stunt versions built 1 rb mustang built i helped build those cars as well as the outer 130 plus cars used for that movie Quote Link to comment

ArchetypeDatsun
Oh and a 13B powered Chevy Nova Quote Link to comment
HRH
I'm sorry but a 13b Nova just seems silly to me. Completely the wrong size for the vehicle it's moving, regardless of power. It's like putting an A12 in a Dodge minivan. Quote Link to comment
DAT510
Sounds like the 13B is dieing.. but it looks like it can handle it Quote Link to comment

Big, heavy, ugly, and a 13b. Mazda Luce. Big, heavy, stylish, and a 13b. Quote Link to comment

DAT510
and this! I would trade my 521 for this Quote Link to comment
freekwonder
I would rather see replicas of the mustang from Tokyo drift, compared to the fucking eclipse and supra from the first one. lol. Quote Link to comment
baja booie
they are usually bought up by the picture car barns or auctioned off to the coordinator of the movie the mechanics who build them almost never get a chance to buy them to much side money to be made Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
They made more than one of these movies? Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
The fuck cares ... lol That car with either or many engines ... Is still cool ... Please people ... careful quoting youtube for gospel ... theres a lots of "un verified" numbers on there ... thats a nice way of stating it ... lol Quote Link to comment

It's like putting an A12 in a Dodge minivan. The X-bodies aren't nearly as heavy as people think, its why they are popular. They normally are around 3k even with the V8.. If that car was built pre-LS1 days then it was most likely fairly light.. Though I think that nova would be better suited for twisties then straight line. http://www.thestreetfighters.com/2011/03/damn-take-a-72-nova-some-scca-nascar-some-madmax-and-you-got-a-sick-streetfighter/ I really like this. 1 Quote Link to comment

How is it "riced out"? Not like it has giant chrome wheels and some stupid wing on the back... I prefer this to what I've seen done to some of these old cars... And technically, it's a "pony car" not a "muscle car". Quote Link to comment
