I'm BLUE
Errrrr whoops... blue tipped wrench = torch Heat and bend ... Option possibly maybe... ( I'm not sure entirely what yours looks like) Hehe   Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Maybe...Hoping Mike has one, or I can make a trip back out to boring to get one... When I press the gas pedal, it gets stuck a little bit down. So sometimes I'm always "pushing" the gas. Something to do with the linkage... Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I have the same issue, but its related to the linkage on my carbs, not the pedal linkage. Get off throttle, why am I at 1800rpm? Tap the pedal, and it drops to normal idle. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Exactly my problem... Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Get off throttle, why am I at 1800rpm? Tap the pedal, and it drops to normal idle. return spring on firewall? Quote Link to comment
H5WAGON
His issues is more of, when the car is at idle, it wants to bind up....or not drop down all the way. When bolting on a weber 32/36 you have to rob that linkage piece from the stock carb, some are offset different.(Where it bolts onto the throttle shaft) Might have to look at the one one the 1600 motor and see if its different. I have a L20B with weber and my throttle is super smooth....We will get it figured out Derek :ninja: I dont have to use a spacer behind the linkage support plate like some cars I've seen...??? To clarify on his pedals....we put a hole manual pedal assembly in....not just change pedals. The Auto one didn't have the tab to hold the return spring. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I determined the pressure on the clutch mc was enough, and my peddle returns without a spring. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Damn, Wish I would have knew that before we put the whole box in...A lot more work that was not needed... Quote Link to comment
H5WAGON
Removing the steering column to strip of Automatic linkage was the fun part! It might be fine with out the spring...but the pedal will always be in the same spot with the spring attached Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
drop the front and it will look tits man! good job Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Draynor and I did some work today on his car. Fixing a few post swap things... He has pictures. This is me making him post the pictures :) Oh and dry garages are nice. Did the speedo work now? Quote Link to comment
Tristin
What's your plan for dropping the front? I can't remember if you have ZX struts and coils or not. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I dont think he does. I think the tentative plan is to get some plumbing collars, and I will help him lower the front spring perches as much as possible. Also, we drove each others cars. Im just going to say, they drive like 2 different cars entirely. Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Yep, Collars for now... Here is some pics of the tranny mount Laecaon Helped me out with...We used the guide from Dime Quarterly. So much better than before (I feel a lot safer ) 1 Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
Woohoo! I think it was just the major kink in the line. But more lube always helps! 1 Quote Link to comment
Draynor
Now to freshen up interior and lower the front... Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Ill have a set of ZXs and Troy Ermish coils up for sale soon-ish maybe... hit me up whenever you think you want to get away from pipe collars. Youre close enough that we wouldnt have to ship them (since theyre heavy). Man... I need to get on fixing my speedo as well. Im hoping its just the cable and not the actual gauge cluster. Draynor
Yea man sounds good...It was just the cable on mine. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Take the cable off the car. Remove the inside from the tranny side. Saturate the cord/wire/spring thing with white lithium grease, and assemble. Fixes a lot of speedo problems. We also fixed a coolant leak from one of the heater hoses. Over sized hoses clamped too tight. Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Good tip on the grease. Ill try that out... maybe it will save me $20 on a new cable. Quote Link to comment
