Has the motor been rebuilt and was it originally a turbo motor or rebuilt for turbo as then the compression would also be a little lower that a NA built motor. Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker Posted November 18, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 18, 2013 So no video but good news drove the truck for the first time today,it pulls pretty damm good i just went up the back street and came back. The bad news is the alternator is arching so i think the new alternator is bad,the truck wont hold a charge so thats why the short trip.Also i blame myself and know 1 else i thought i torqued the crank pulley down and i sat there for in hour trying to remember if i did and i did not so its just started to go crooked.Now i might have to pull radiator again if i cant get in there to re torque the nut and also pull the alternator to get it fixed.I am not even mad any more for the mere fact that i thought it would have been worse. :thumbup: Quote Link to comment
