Oz620
Hi Redeye, love your work. What issues if any do you foresee for a (aussie car) right hand drive 620 with a j series for a KA24E swap? regards Dan 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Hello Dan Thanks :) I think it would go a lot easier for RHD, especially if you are going to run a turbo. If you use a truck block you won't have to flip the center link. The major issue I can't say much on is the placement of the J series motor mounts at the frame and if the KA mounts will line up as nice as they do with the L series frame locations. Can you take some pictures of the motor mount to frame area on your truck? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
J engine are front mount engines not side mount like L,Z, SR, and KA. 1 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Looks almost the same as the L trucks. Can you measure from the firewall to the center of the mount? 1 Quote Link to comment
Oz620
its about 280mm to centre of mount. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
You mean 11" right? The L-series mounts are approx. 12" or 305mm, so some adjustment fore aft will need to be made when fabricating your mounts. Or you could move the mounts on the frame side for a straight drop. Of course this doesn't take any differences in the vertical direction into account. Not sure what they are between the L and the J-series. 1 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Yep, lots of guys have. You have to slot the mount holes as the trans mount is further back. 2 Quote Link to comment

invalidusername
I read through this thread but I may have missed it, has anyone tried these mounts with a 610? 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Not that I know of. If you have a KA and a 610, have you tried test fitting yet? They do work in the 620 & 720. 1 Quote Link to comment
invalidusername
No to both. I'm planning ahead...again. Last time it was a 620KC that I was sure I was gonna get, the guy sold it the day after telling me he would trailer it to me. This time it is a 610 wagon for my wife. If I do get it, I will absolutely test fit. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I know how that goes :) I added a link to the first post on a nice way to easily and cheaply flip the center link. Thanks to Moist Lightening for figuring this one out. Flipping the centerlink using a Teraflex Tapered Insert. 1 Quote Link to comment
