So.....? What do I need to do to get her road worthy??

She needs a water pump

Fix fuel pump oil leak

Toss in an alterbator

Put rear window in

Clean up inside, lotsa vacuum and dusting

Oh ya gotta throw a diferent stock carb on for now. For some reason PO took top half of it apart and stripped out one of the screw holes! :( Chet gonna throw one my way tho.

That will be enough to take it down to DMV for title transfer and registration.

Then it will need new struts and rotors up front.

Crawlin around underneath I saw no evidence of brake fluid leakage. All the wiring is there and plugged in too.

Steering is very tight. Move the wheel an 8th inch and the control arms move!! VERY NICE!!

Vacuum advance line is disconnected and a manifold vacuum line has been run from the brake booster pipe. This means the charcoal canister is disconnected as well. Also the ballast resistor was replaced? and mounted on the fender instead under that metal cover above the coil. EGR appears to be missing, BCDD without a hose, in fact I don't think that's even the right carb on there. Appears to be only one wire going to the back of the carb... either for electric choke or idle cut. Intake is not looking like a '77. That hose going down by the mount .... that the block vent? If so where's the PCV connected to? Lower rad shroud missing. Have you checked if this isn't an L20B motor?

Umm Mike, Data plate sez manufacture date 03/77. The one on firewall and drivers door. Are those fabbed to make it look like a 77  Why would someone do that?? CLEAN title sez 77 as well

W58 head on L20 engine.

I agree carb may not be correct one.

How can you tell vacuum advance is not connected from that pic? I followed it off the back of the dizzy and it ran to the engine side of the carb. It is connected. Thats the only line comin off the dizzy

Why would that not be the correct intake??

Ballast resistor got replaced.....ummm ok it got put back in the wrong spot. Is that a big deal??

Hard to see. Maybe that's the EGR vacuum signal line I see unplugged.

What's that small hose coming from the larger hose going to the brake booster?

Looks like the intake may have been swapped.

W58 heads were not generally used on any L20B until '78. (correction they were used for '77).

Ballast resistor can be mounted anywhere... just noticed it's been moved.
