Wide14u
you did your floors with a roller when you did the bed liner Quote Link to comment
wildmaninid
you did your floors with a roller when you did the bed liner Are you asking me a question, or stating a fact? The floor was, in fact done with a sprayer. The fenders and inners were done by hand, as the sprayer went gunnybag. Quote Link to comment

wildmaninid
So today I went and removed the intake manifold that I will be using for this swap. I will figure out what emissions BS can be removed, but I have the intake, wiring and computer off of a 1990 240SX. apparently the wiring is easier to deal with (although wiring doesent bother me) and its not integrated into the body harness.......But I decided to clean er up, and I also decided to strip the upper intake off and paint it body color, so here is some oics of my afternoon, The intake All stripped down. I used an acid wash to help etch the metal, and in the next oic some metal etching primer. this helps the material stick to the bare metal first coat of color! second coat for good luck Then in these next two oics, I used my mini random orbital sander, and sanded off all of the color/primer on the finned part of the manifold, all along where it says ECCS after using air to blow away all of the dust from sanding, and wiping with a tack cloth quickly, I applied the clear coat! All shiny, and going back together!! Everyday gets closer to the KA swap! I will be doing the same process to the valve cover! Thanks for looking Quote Link to comment

Farmer
Bill, here is an intake that I purchase last year. The guy was building a ka24e-t and removed all the bs that wasnt needed. He changed direction so I picked it up just incase of a ka swap. Larry Quote Link to comment
wildmaninid
Larry, Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for......I was certain all of the carbon canister, vac linet etc for the evap system could get the heave ho! Thanks as that will give me some direction. Looks like ka project is gonna happen next weekend! Quote Link to comment
Farmer
Do you have all the engine brackets and stuff all ready or are you going to do it on the fly? Larry Quote Link to comment
