rpowell25
Three years ago (or so) I bought a '72 510 4dr from the original owner. They hadn't taken that great of care of the vehicle but it had promise. We settled on $400 and I dragged it home. I web searched and found Ratsun almost immediately. I have been semi-lurking this whole time, chiming in when appropriate and selling off spares when I could but mainly just reading, searching, reading. While I am member of the other online groups I find myself on Ratsun nearly everyday and have learned to glean the wisdom from the noise...and sometimes just revel in the noise. I have done almost all of this work myself. Lots of late nights and misdirected UPS deliveries later this is what you all have helped me do: During that 3 years this is what I have done. Laecaon
What gauges are those? I want! Quote Link to comment
rpowell25
Speedhut Revolution series. The gps speedo is amazing! No cables, trans sensors, gears, etc. Mounted the gps receiver on the dash right over the speaker grill. Probably won't work in a tunnel but other than that, pretty darn cool. I need to post pics of the other gauges as well. Speedhut Quote Link to comment
Shagy
If you make it up to puente hills we can take some videos.... I'm interested in learning more about this swap. Quote Link to comment
dennis
what is wrong with the wheels i they look good to me I just don't like them, my opinion doesn't matter to me as long as the poster likes them. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Dont like the wheels either .Wheels make a break a Car . For all that work you still cant beat silver ROTA RBs in my Opinion.Price too. with good offsets also no need for huge spacers wheels look like something off a Altima when I first saw it. car good Quote Link to comment
rpowell25
Wheels are place holders until after body/paint. They were $90 on Craigslist and gave me 16" wheels to adjust suspension settings. Not sure on what will end up on the car but I am looking hard at all options. They are off of a Kia. MicroMachinery
I'm seeing an awful lot of awesome in this thread... Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
cant beat 90$ but the wheels spacer had to cost something. I cant even selll 2 sets of Pathfinders 1 set with tire for 100$ . Everybody is broke! Be honest. I think get some wheels and just maybe buff it out the outside. I like the Patina on this car. Spend the money on Motor and suspension!!!!!!!! ur already mostly there what I can see buying good stuff Quote Link to comment
rpowell25
Actually at this point I cannot spend much more on engine/suspension/brakes...I am trying though! I figured the spacers would increase my wheel buying options. I had the same 30mm spacers on the back until I adjusted the camber. had to switch to 10mm at that point.. Quote Link to comment
oldschool80sguy
looks good. Not sure about the wheels (Sidebar, sorry) Like your avatar! I keep telling Car Town to make a 72' 510. (back to the thread) Great Car! Quote Link to comment
