Javin
Yeah I think that was what the crack head was talking about. I have a Ratsun knob but lighting it would be tough to do and make look nice. Project for later. 1 Quote Link to comment

Javin
Yeah, I've been stateside since '11, even made it to Canby 2011, however after that I fell off the map due to life. My son is now 3 and my daughter is 8 months. My truck has sat since. And the news:The truck loaded up on a trailer to its new home. 5 Quote Link to comment
Javin
And it made it to its new home. Got it onto the trailer and off under its own power. Just needs lots of love after sitting for 3 years. 5 Quote Link to comment

Javin
Yeah I kept it. I just finally got it to my house from my inlaws where it was in "storage." 2 Quote Link to comment
Javin
Found out tonight that my truck is NOT watertight. Coming in a couple different places; the most concerning of which is the sunroof. I did however get the goahead on doing a more dramatic restoration in all of the free time I don't have. Amazing, have the money or have the time, rarely have both. 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I will be watching. Happy you still own it and we get to watch you transform it into your dream truck. Quote Link to comment
Javin
This is a video of my truck idling chugging the dying. It idles ok then smokes and dies. White smoke = Water, right? So, I need to figure out WHY it does that. Truck indoors during the next few days while I figure out how to keep the water out. My poor Honda is sitting outside... [/url] 1 Quote Link to comment
Javin
Pictures of the issues I have to address. Any suggestions on how to do any of the following are welcome. Let me know if I should skip any of them as well. Check on my ass leak Address rear end wiring Carrier Bearing gone? Carrier Bearing gone? Lighting Closer Trace some of the random wiring back CV Joint CV Joint again Cat seems fine... thanks California smog... Check on leaks Find wiring diagram for loose wires Loose wire Loose wire and some cancer from old battery How do I clean up all the wonderfully corroded little tubes? clutch leakage? I feel like this is a cause for concern Leaks or just never dried? mmmm moldy bushings Well that is doing a lot of good Mold mold everywhere... Power washing maybe? Wasp nest... Power washing definately I think I see where the leak is coming from. Rust under the moonroof.. I may have to pull, try to repair, and reseal it. Will a weber carb pass smog in Oregon (keeping my CAT)? Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
clean it up underneath if you can not tell where the oil is coming from. Check u-joints pull drive line and replace complete carrier bearing assembly. any u-joints and the transmission rear seal. I would drain transmission and rear end and replace gear oil. Rear end leak looks to be the drain plug. I have had to Teflon tape a couple in the past do to over tightening. Check brakes replace as necessary. Split some gas line to replace wore out grommet around steel lines. I would gunk the engine and underneath hit the really bad areas with a wire brush re-gunk and the spray off with a high pressure car wash. Prefer one that is heated. Then work on it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Laecaon
My friend passed his 79 620 with SUs and no cat. I think he ran hotter plugs and leaned out the carbs. 2 Quote Link to comment

White smoke does = water. Does your oil look milky or is the coolant oily? Edit: How do the plugs look? 1 Quote Link to comment
Javin
That was after a pretty much cold start. I say pretty much because I drove it from one side of the house to the other then shut it off for a while. Restarted and took video to show what it was doing. I have not pulled the plugs or changed the oil. Before it started chugging there was no smoke. Also need to drop the 4 year old gas. 1 Quote Link to comment
