Zeusimo
I've Always Been A Mini Truckin' Kid Into American Muscle But After Going Back To Japan I Fell In Love With Old JDMs :D So I Start Looking For A Stock Datto That's Straight, Has Minor Rust, And Still Rockin' It's Original Paint. (Little Did I Know THAT"S F#%^ING HARD!) But After 3 Months Of Searching I Finally Found One A Few Hours Away ;) The Truck Was Bought By A Guy In 1979 (Original Owner), Owned It For 30 Years, Sold It To The Guy I Bought It From, Owned It Almost A Year Then Sold It To Me. I Can Tell It Had Been Well Taken Care Of, But While The Previous Owner Had It, He Crashed It (Nothing Bad) But The Insurance Company Did Salvage It. I Have No Idea Why They Salvaged It, It Was Only A Fender Bender. But Anyways I Didn't Care Everything Was Straight And It Ran Like A Top. :frantics: 1,500 Miles From Fresh Rebuild, Bored 0.030 Over, And Mild Cam, Stock Externals. 5 Speed Tranny With New Clutch (300 Miles, Smooth As A Baby's Bottom) Stock Rims With All Center Caps  I'm Not Gonna Lie It Looked Like A POS, But It Was Mechanically Sound. So I Thought, With A Little TLC I Can Make It Look Nice. I Went Ahead And Bought It For $600 And Drove To It's New Home  These Are The Only Pictures I Took The Day I Got Her. bonvo
please tell me that little ding on the left front is not why they salvaged it Quote Link to comment
Zeusimo
The Bumper Wasn't Exactly What You Call Straight, But Took It Off And Beat All The Body Dents Out With A Hammer. It Did Look Nasty But The Frame Is Completely Straight. (Isn't That All That Matters?) Perhaps That Insurance Guy Knows Nothing About Cars And Salvaged Just Because The Bumper Was Bent In Half. Quote Link to comment

Zeusimo
So I Decided To Add A Bed-Liner To This Little Guy I Took The Bed Off The Truck, Washed It 3 Times, Sanded And Sanded And Sanded Some More. Got Rid Of The Minor Dents With A Hammer, Washed Again, Sanded, Washed. Took Me A Whole Day But The End Result Would Prove To Be Rewarding. Did I Mention I Sanded A Lot? <_< Did One Side Eventually It Started Sprinkling So I Stopped And Finished It The Next Day I Ended Up Using About 15 Cans Turned Out Pretty Great Considering It Was Under $100  Quote Link to comment
