I bet your old carb worked just fine. I just desmogged my 620 and I don't even want to think about having to put all the crap back. Its like an evil puzzle. Will you have to do it to pass emissions again??

I have mine for sale It might need the choke mechanism looked at other than that it is newly rebuilt. It worked when I took it off but i think I had vacuum links that were hurting its performance and that the carb itself was fine.
