We even built one with 4 15" and 4 8" subs in the back. (Freaky510 might still have pics)

I remember these from when I was a kid. My grandfather owned the first Subaru dealership in our area so he would take us for rides in these back then. We once squeezed 9 people into the smaller Subaru 360 2 door. Fond memories.

Those look pretty cool, but, I think I'll stick with my two. I've got a 1990 Suzuki Every Turbo, 657cc turbo engine ...

 

 

And I have a 1990 Subaru Sambar 4x4 pickup with a N/A 660cc engine ....

is that 1990 sambar actually a mitsubishi? I had someone telling me the later sambar vehicles were made by mitsu, and was just curious if this is hersay.

Seems to be a Subaru product alright. It has selectable 4WD not AWD too. It's got the smallest 4 cylinder engine with the tiniest runners I've ever seen!

Of course, now that I've posted this I've discovered that the Subarus are manufactured by Daihatsu for Subaru. Daihatsu is 51% owned by Toyota. Now the Nissan Kei vehicles are manufactured by either Suzuki or Mitsubishi ....

Ahh yes the 360 Van. There was a company that did electric conversions of them too. Before I went down the Datsun path I hunted many brands to find my first classic. I thought hard about the 360 van and was even more keen on the Fiat Multipla 600. (Also the Subaru 360 car is one I'd love to own.)
