DrColeman Posted September 9, 2010 Report Share Posted September 9, 2010 Hey all, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ron and I was a recovering Datsun fanatic until Mr. Boileau (a.k.a. Bob3 on Ratsun) rekindled the addiction. I’m 42 years old, first car was a 1971 red 4 door 510. After that I’ve had an additional six 510’s up to 1997. All but three were junkers with hopes of building but never did. Bob3 comes into play cause he lives about 1 mile from the house and I happened to stop by after seeing a yellow 510 in his driveway. Lo and behold he had 6 various old Datsuns, one being the infamous MX520! After spending two hours b.s.ing with him and his family the passion for Datsuns resurfaced. As of last weekend we are the proud owner of a nice 1971 2 door 510! It has a L18, dogleg 5-spd, Subrau LSD, sways, rear discs, etc. Figured it was a good starting point. It’s good to be back ‘doin it in a Datusn’!! Quote Link to comment
