Logical1
Hey all, I just searched through 8 pages of results looking for a picture of the stock L16 exhaust Manifold. There is a bunch of posting of them but everybody's flicr/photobucket links don't work anymore. It would be awesome to get pictures of all the L series Stock Manifolds for comparison. If people post up some images or email them to me, I would be happy to host them so they stick around ;) Thx 1 Quote Link to comment

hang_510
your in luck! i was putting this together too! i have found 2 different castings for the non-smog manifolds. different center sections ribbed vs. not. 1 has an untapped port resembling where an O2 sensor might go. no ribbing. Gensaiken
there's one more variation which is for a round exhaust port head. I have pics some where. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Correct Richard, for the W58 on the L20B, '78 and up. All I have is a partial but it has a single large round outlet and round ports. Early L16: EGR was used starting around '74 IIRC. So L18s had the small tube: . Quote Link to comment
hang_510
there's one more variation which is for a round exhaust port head. i only considered NON-smog ported manifolds. EGR was used starting around '74 IIRC. So L18s had the small tube: what are the casting number on those^^^? the ribbing extends furthur down as well... looks like they had already planned for this in the casting change. mine is untapped. He makes fun of me (and you :P ) every time I go over there... 'OH its L motor guy!' & calls me Jesse (My name is Jacob) Thanks for all the awesome pics everyone extra thanks to Hang-510 for the uber sweet comparison pics I'm really hoping to get a true 'reference' for all manifolds and the exact year/engine they are off of. Hang_510 your has the manifold models numbers but not the actual engines they are off of. I'm guessing its the L16 I was looking for... Quote Link to comment
