akumazedex
Oh god, you already put stickers and sharpied your hatch, facepalm Nice to see you got a shell finally tho Quote Link to comment
Syncro
can't really say I've seen worse, if I were you I'd just graft another panel onto the blue car, but I'm not you. swapping everything over sounds like it'll be a bitch but good luck. Quote Link to comment
PurePontiacKid
lol except the frame rails are torn to pieces on my blue car, the fuel and brake lines are scraping (I've made small skid plates to cover where they scrape) the entire chassis is slightly bent where I got hit by the truck, and the left fender is twisted from hitting a barrier drifting a long time ago. this way I can fully prep the chassis for what I want to do and not have to worry about anything anymore. and also do the subframe swap with little to no down-time. FricFrac
Yea but the rear quarters aren't stoved in yet and you've got a bike tire in the back you can try to stretch on your 15x10 rims.... Quote Link to comment
ComicArtist
Yea but the rear quarters aren't stoved in yet and you've got a bike tire in the back you can try to stretch on your 15x10 rims.... They're wheels, not rims. These are rims. Quote Link to comment
FricFrac
Haha nice link ;P Quote Link to comment
PurePontiacKid
only I could find a car in Vegas with rust on it :| strongly considering cutting the roof off, repairing the rust it has, and doing a roof swap on my orange car. Quote Link to comment
72240z
Even living in the rust belt I wouldnt bother repairing that amount of rust on an s130. Those are difficult areas. Power to you if you do not trying to convince you otherwise just... damn Quote Link to comment
sqweekykneecap
That shell is maxed out Ian, i don't know what you could do with this. BTW I'm working day shift now, so we can be friends again. Quote Link to comment
bludestiny
Those are some super shit spots for rust. The idea of grafting a room on the orange car would probably be cheaper and easier. Quote Link to comment

PurePontiacKid
I'm guessing it was a CA car at one point, I'm not sure. definitely not a desert car. looking at my car and pics of my orange car, they don't have ANY rust in any of the areas that car has. Oh well, I can still make money off of this ugly beast from the few parts it does still have lol and nope, still got the same number haha Quote Link to comment
Farmer Joe
does it have a good quarter panel at least? or was that not going to happen? Quote Link to comment
Bagged620bulletside
Within the last 5 hours i have read through the whole thread and goddamn this car is sick as fuck! I know what im building next. Quote Link to comment
PurePontiacKid
^lmao thanks, it really sucks in person, though. also scored a set of L24 rods from the junkyard, so I get to do the big-bore 3.0L that I always wanted to do now! Quote Link to comment

I've got some l24 rods out of a 73 motor that use the bigger bolts to if you want em, will probably take me a couple of days to find em. Quote Link to comment
72240z
A big bore 3.0? Wouldn't it be a 3.1+ then since just the crank and rods make a 3.0? Quote Link to comment
PurePontiacKid
stock crank brochacho L24 rods/KA24 pistons only (decking block to get close to zero-deck) 1 Quote Link to comment
72240z
The pistons and all that machine work dont cost more then 350-500 bucks for a crank? Or you just want an over square motor? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Oh u so fancy with that sliding stuff :poke: Quote Link to comment
Ryoskatekov
But doesn't a drift car need high end torque / rpm rather than low end , low rpm? Quote Link to comment
72240z
Ya over square is better for higher rpm but the gains are pretty small. You dont make nearly as much tq as stroking but you do help extend engine life and higher rpm curve. Both I guess are desirable for drifting or w/e but I wouldnt put machine work into a block along with a stock crank, thats just my opinion though, I rather build the bottom end complete if I have to take it somewhere to be machined. A bored to 3.0 is cool too, I wasn't knocking just asking. Quote Link to comment
PurePontiacKid
lol machining prices are irrelevant to this build, which is why I'm not bothered by such things. and it's not like an overbore and decking the block is that expensive if it were, anyways. Quote Link to comment
