I have begun a dialogue with the man that is selling it. He seems willing to at least correspond regarding it's shipping and transport...thats more than most Ebayers seem to do anymore.

I am hoping to get some response today on the specifics.

I WANT this car!

Yes. I do.

Just to let you know I'm communicating with him also.He said he is willing to ship to the US but all shipping charges are our responsibility.

if you buy this you need to have someone airbrush something awesome on the pannels.

I had a 55 chevy sedan delivery that I sold to a guy , he was a candy salesman and he airbrushed jars of candy laying on there sides with candy pouring out of them ...

So...after much consideration i have come to the conclusion that there is just NO FREEGIN WAY...that I can afford to have this thing brought over...as much as I love the idea (especially since Fisch shipped a car and it went so well...:D) of shipping something this rad...

But here is a sample of what I found online for getting that car here from Australia.

"Our service fee to ship a vehicle from

USA to South Australia is of the following:(seemed similar either direction)

$ 4,428.50 (about 4 grand American) Australian Dollars including

GST for our service fee. ( effective from

1/12/08)

That is the price of one car shipped in a

40 foot container with another

customer's car.

Does not include any fuel surcharge levy

if applied or any increase in container

rates if applied which will be ain addition

to the above service fee.

We only ship two cars in a 40 foot

container.

We seek approval from the customer if

they want their car or boat to travel with

another car or other cars in a

container...it is the customer's choice.

Our price includes the following :

- Load , block, brace of the car into

shipping container by US experienced

packing company

- Clearance of car for export by US

Customs Service

- Export Documentation

- Drayage of container to wharf

- Customs Brokerage and Clearance

- SeaFreight from USA to Australia"

Plus the more people I talked to that I know in the import/export trade it seemed about accurate. from 3-5 grand...so there you have it...

A little dreaming never hurt anyone though...boy...I could almost smell the mouse pee soaked shredded newspaper nesting from under the seat.

My thoughts.............

First and foremost: To be blessed enough to own something that there is only ONE of here is definately worth that price. Secondly, it appears that You would not have to search for anything for that van. That alone makes it almost priceless. When I purchased My 1956 Ford panel in 1982 I had to look for 3 years (before ebay and the internet) just to find a stock rear door handle. What can You buy anymore for under $10,000.00 that You have the only one?

Take a minute and consider that. If You could get it here, plus the purchase price and have it running, possibly painted too, for under $10,000.00 I feel that is a bargain.

Oh yeah, Your personal vanity plate should be: 1 of 1

Now go get that sucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
