OpelWagenGT
So I wanted to do something different with my grill on my coupe so I asked a friend of mine if I could test fit a grill he had off a MK2 GTI and it turns out the dimensions are exactly the same the only thing I had to do was trim the corners and make some brackets. nbesheer
Hey I think that it looks pretty sweet. I am not familiar with these cars so I don't know what it looks like originially but I like it. Quote Link to comment

Duncan
The grill looks fine. (It's different, anyway) I would also consider removing the bumper guards since they're missing the rubber, and use some chrome or stainless carriage bolts to fill the holes. Quote Link to comment

nukeday
This is probably one of the most creative, clean updates I've seen. It's the epitome of working with what you have. Just wanted to give you some props on the project. If I remember, this was a 'field find' and you've done a great job on bringing it back. Swap the front tag tie wraps out with white ones, then no one will notice. You can make your own front bumperette rubber using a piece of wide side trim, shoe soles (green crocs!) or tire tread. Keep it up, thanks for sharing your progress. Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
I think it looks more Australian now. You should probably give me your stock grill for safe keeping. Quote Link to comment
