wanted: scrap/extra heads

looking for scrap/extra heads for cheap/free to practice head porting.

 

Im gonna learn a few things about porting from BRAAP

 

 

 

if theres any usable heads Ill wanna throw em on some ones car to see how they perform when Im done :D

it was easy. i did my first on the head i already dropped $$$$ into.

i did have a pro looking :eek: over my shoulder though

IMO porting is easy to do but hard to master, I mean who can grind aluminum? For a forced induction motor it doesn't matter too much, just hogging it out is fine but on a n/a motor it takes a pro. An amateur can unshroud valves or smooth casting but that's about it. Shaping ports to gain the optimum velocity and flow is like an art as far as I'm concerned, takes way more then a hand and tool.
