  3. For the expiring ads, why not just give the users the ability of renewing the add after it expires? It will allow users still looking for/selling a part to just click a button and re-post, and still get rid of all the old ads that we don't need anymore.
  4. Speaking of bitching, the classifieds only last 14 days??? Then i have to re-post them? That's going to get annoying...... or did I miss something?

  7. We moved the dipstick :P If you bend the dipstick tube slightly, you can bring it out right past the header. I don't think it would work with a manifold though since it's larger. With an L pan, the dipstick is too long and misses the sump, so you have to trim an inch or so to get it right. ^^^This. The Z20 block and L20 block are nearly identical in every way. Just minor differences. There are a few holes in the block that need to be plugged, but other then that it's pretty much perfect.
  8. FYI, the motor is in the truck.... just gotta button it up.
  9. About the valve cover, it literally doesn't line up with the head! Strangest thing I've ever seen. It's off by a few millimeters. I'll post oics.... I have them. The motor did not get finished today. We ran into some issues, and even though they were resolved we had no more daylight left. It's only small stuff left to do, then break in the motor. No smog here. It's a Z20E block, probably from a 200sx. It's got an 86mm bore which is about .30 over bore. Long rods, Z22 crank, 4G63 forged pistons with fully floating wrist pins, etc. Lots of stuff! Thanks man! Sucks that I didn't check this thread first, I offered my U67 head for cheap to a friend. If he backs out or changes his mind, it's all yours!!
  10. Honestly man, as far as donations go, I don't mind tossing a few bucks around. The forum is run by a small few people who put all their own money into the forum. Just imagine without donations, one day you'll sign on and Ratsun won't be there anymore. Now the classifieds... I have mixed opinions.
  11. Da FUQ? Anyone ever seen L series valve covers that DON'T line up with the bolt holes on an A87 peanut head? We have two valve covers that don't match the head, and the only one that does is the crap one that it came with.
  12. Finishing up getting the studs in the block for the oil pan (no broken bolts gonna happen here!) This one's for you Adam! ARP stuff all over... _CSC0171 by metalmonkey47, on Flickr
  13. Lots coming ;) we ran into a problem with the timing chain and guides but ended up finding out the chain was wrong. Fortunately the one in my L20 was in pretty good shape. Getting ready to prime the oil pump, get the dizzy set up, install pick up tube and pan, and it'll be in. Give me about 2 ish hours and hopefully I'll be back with a running motor.

      no prob bud ! gotcha..

  18. Thanks for the help guys!! I'm gonna investigate some of the links you guys have sent. I just feel like these guys should give me some kind of notification. It's been weeks. I called them even before ordering it to see what other options they might have had, and was told I'd get a phone call back Monday morning. NOTHING. If worst comes to worst, I'll use FelPro for now. I don't have flat top pistons, so I should be fine with a little less advance at 93 octane.
