  1. Well, it's not the mounting tab thats broken, it's the badge itself :( I'll get oics later! BTW, you can have the car for $1500, and I'll give you an LZ20, 4 speed, and all my extra goodies and paint to go with it ;)
  2. The local old school speed shop out here in the ATL, Garage Zero, has apparently been working on an SR510 recently, took it out for a test drive, and blew by a cop coming around the corner Cop stopped him, and John played around with him, told him the 100% truth, and the cop was cool as hell. I've met the cop before, and I gotta say he's the most fun cop I've ever met  Let John off with a smile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgi0sWMhlVU&feature=player_embedded http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukfF2CDiCpc&feature=player_embedded
  3. So I kinda broke the badge by accident when the hatch slipped from my hand and fell hard. :( It's broken at the right side mounting tab. Any ideas on a good cheap repair?
  4. See thats the thing, it looks like it's perfect, but the pedal is softer then hell even though it's still moving the clutch fork. Nothing changed, nothing new added. I just cleaned up the disk and flywheel, and put it back together. The disk is literally possible to install backwards, because it won't mate against the flywheel. After tinkering and thinking, it's almost as if the T/O bearing has mechanically separated from the clutch fork. I really wanna get more ideas though before tearing the transmission out again
  5. Sorry, i was in a hurry typing from my phone. The hydraulics (master/slave) work and the slave cylinder is properly engaging the clutch fork as it should. Problem is, the clutch is no disengaging as the pedal is pressed. Here's a video showing what I'm talking about a little better. Videos processing....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLZqpkuWgMU
  6. glad someone remembered
  7. I JUST got my tranny back on my 210 after pulling it to inspect the horrible slipping clutch. After pulling it, I found all the components looked brand new, but the friction plate was glassed over horribly. I sanded it down until rough, sanded the flywheel, etc. JUST got the tranny bolted back up and found that the slave cyl rod was engaging the clutch for before any pedal was pressed causing clutch slippage, so I adjusted it to give slack as per FSM specs. Bolted the slave back up, got in the car and when I hit the clutch it's soft. The clutch is 100% engaged with the clutch pedal in. The hydraulics (master/slave) work and the slave cylinder is properly engaging the clutch fork as it should. Problem is, the clutch is not dis-engaging as the pedal is pressed. Help I am at witts end trying to get shit fixed on this car.
  8. Local Napa doesn't answer their phone for shit. Stupid fuckers.

      Maybe they know it`s you.

  9. Yup, DOT 3 brake fluid. Bleed from the slave until fluid comes out clear and no air is coming out. Watch the res though, it empties quick.
  10. Thats happens to me all the time  problem is, if you pretend to like it, they just keep talking and never shut up about it

  19. if you wanna learn more on the Sunny line in general, then check out Datsun1200.com it was the first Datsun forum I joined. Super smart dudes with great rides. The tech wiki is the most elaborate tech wiki I've ever seen.
  20. Totally missed all the other posts in the thread  this one is busy! the 310 is different. The B310/210 is a completely different car. Used A series though
  21. It's a B310 chassis. Should say something like "KPB310" iirc. For sure. I had a blown head gasket on my A15 and didn't even know it. Picked it up, drove it 300 miles, then pulled the head when a thermostat housing bolt broke, and found it was trashed between cyl 4 and the water jacket. Never showed a single symptom though, didn't even seem to use much coolant.
  22. I'm sure a nice coat of clear would seal it up real nice
  23. I had this problem once. I was coming through the twisties, and when I came off the gas, I saw a big huge puff of smoke. Kinda funny honestly
