Quite a bit of difference as they are more tunable then the SU's are, you have pretty much one intake per cylinder,and not to mention a few hp. If the throttle isn't sticky you might just consider getting a basic rebuild kit and see how that works for you. I know my carbs on my roadster are like new on function, just need polished and I had to re-gasket the whole thing as time takes its toll on cork.

I'd say get some zg flares and raise them up just enough that you wont bump it.

given that the wiring isnt too complicated have you considered just running a new harness? You can pick one up fairly cheap

I'd say how bad do you need the money.. If its for something serious like medical or home then yeah, if its for something else then nah keep it you'll regret it.

the roadster springs are okay, but I'm sure could be found cheaper if you looked.

Id take a trade of an miata engine or a CA18 :lol:

If its any help for the dude with the caddy, I can see if the local vw yard has one as I see like a ton of them around here. I know its in OK but they dont seem to be super rare here.

Yeah, I'd rebuild any of those import engines. No sense in putting a used motor in if you're going with a swap in my opinion. you might also tear down the engine you have before buying another and see how bad the damage is if you haven't and then decide what to do.

a brake lock is another good one, just hide the switch for it somewhere.
