Been there and jegs as well.

Been looking at fuel cells and all of them seem to be 9.5 inches or more tall.. I need on around 6 to 7" inches tall so I can fit it where the stock tank goes. If anyone knows of such let me know! If possible I'd like it around 10 to 12 gallons.

I am on the vote with the other posters on it being just the headgasket. I also would suggest buying a simple hand tool kit like a craftsman set or something and a simple torque wrench, might look pricey now.. But in the end it will cost less then any shop looking at it.

Well I've decided to wait tell I get new front fenders to do a serious paint job and kicking around the paintjob idea ball my gf has settled on tye dye. She mentioned it before on the baja bug but I kinda brushed her off on it, but then when I mentioned painting the brake calipers plaid she said I should paint the datsun as such with little rabbits hopping along where the trim went on the body. I figure it good for some laughs tell I get the new front fenders and then repaint the car proper.

In my BRE comp book for my roadster they put a nice quote on building an engine. "You only have to make it last this race"

I've never had a ticket. Only reason I haven't had a ticket is I can read off the section and number of the law for the officer on the spot by memory.. They have to know this code to write you a ticket here, I also carry a copy in my car. I'm used to being pulled over for no reason it happens all the time though my cars fully meet the code, they just stereotype young punk in sporty car.

Unfortunately the cops job is not to know the law but enforce it :rolleyes: The judge is the one you have to show that the cop was in the wrong and this is what the law says. I know the automotive code in my state like the back of my hand, and well its handy to know.

it this like a tow yard or something? I'm wondering about the original owner as this car is too interesting to just be left sitting there by the owner.

Just an FYI most industrial metal drums and storage containers aren't all metal, they put a plastic liner in them.

I dont use walmart for tires, their service sucks and policy's even harder. Last time I used them they stripped all 6 lug nuts on my truck.. :blink: and REFUSED to fix it. Took one phone call to fix, called the regional manager and they decided maybe they should go buy a lug breaker and lug nuts.

I think powder coating them would be the best honestly. Though as I said earlier, I'm painting mine plaid, along with my calipers and drums lol
