  1. Finally got some pics of the installs :) These are AWESOME. Thanks again
  2. That truck is amazing. Love the old Hilux trucks.
  3. This is beautiful... I looked at a textured floor for my 620 but this pic is the one reason I am thinking of redoing my interior in a clean fashion.
  4. That is awesome. Looks like it would be too much work for me atm :P
  5. I'm interested in this as well, let me know what you find out please. I am looking at getting a 1pc for my 620 but I just did a 2/3 drop front/back. I figure when I put in the zx tranny I'll try to replace the 2pc with a 1pc but if it won't work I will be stuck replacing a carrier bearing. Current bearing = rubber peices packed in and heald together with duct tape. No lie... I'll grab pics if anyone wants to see it :P
  6. My heater in the 620 works great, its just the 15mph winds through the nonexistent weather striping that makes it a cold ride to work :P
  7. Haha, I was actually looking for some of these of a standard cab 620 last night :P That way I could draw out the modifications I want and try some color combos, then scan it back to the computer and use photoshop to try different color rims. Once I have everything down on paper, get someone to do a full concept rendering so I have something to keep me motivated.
  8. I have to head up to Dallas, GA tomorrow. Depending on how the tires look I would be interested in getting them.
  9. For the removable panels and doors I will be using an old trailer behind our place. Got permission from the owner to use it for sanding and striping the new panels. For paint and the rest of the body I will be using a PVC tarp enclosed car port with a tarp as the floor. I plan on using the same exhaist fan setup you described.
  10. Yay 13 hour day shifts on Saturday. I am so tired...

Ouch. My only real issue is I usually work third shift. So going back to first for one day is rough.

  11. Thank you guys for the information on how to test that. The test light did not come on so I would say all in all it was a success :) However, the choke heater is wired to the idle wire, not the original choke heater wire. I double checked because I had thought this was how I wired it when I installed the weber, but I was not sure. That video has some good info. I like short videos that I can learn from, longer ones let my mind wander so I end up rewatching the video 4-5 times before I get it... I will update this again if I have any issues, but for now it looks like my truck is good to go. Also, side benefit was my lights no longer dim when I turn on the wipers, and the wipers seem faster. I still plan to do a relay for the lights like the one I did for the starter, but it may take a few weeks.
  12. Wanted to add pics to show how the adjuster arm fits when flipped. From back top Truck is running to see if the battery is gonna hold a charge. Edit: Battery is holding charge, voltage is reading above 12 with all my acc on (13.6).
  13. Haha, I'm no artist by far. I just have ideas in my head that I want to get a hard copy of so I can make changes and have the full concept down before purchasing parts. I'll PM my ideas and you can see if you want to take on the project :P
  14. Man this is getting old. Just post progress and show us what we tend to be missing.
  15. Proud of myself sorta, went a whole day with no status updates. Then again I'm worried because I am proud of that...

  16. I need to find someone to do a concept drawing for my 620, hook me up yo! :P
  17. Alternator is on, jumper is complete, battery is charging atm. I'm gonna eat some pizza and work on school work. Thanks for all the help everyone, you guys are the best. I will update this if I end up having any issues out of the new alternater.
  18. Alright, will do, for some reason my above post double qouted datzenmike even though I was typeing :(
  19. Oh no, this is the conversion. The old alt was external, I have another voltage regulator that I am modifying the connector from. jump 4 of the wire and cap the remaining two. I have a picture of it somewhere. I won't start the truck till I have the voltage regulator bypassed.
  20. Thanks for the info Hainz, here is what I have wire wise and other pictures: Adjuster arm problem Remove radiator and fan to flip the adjuster arm. Here is my rigged wiring: Power from Battery, not sure where the wire goes. Ground from battery: Rigged T connector:
  21. I think it is gunked up. Truck kinda told me this when I grabbed it and it had a ton of goop on it. Found out I was not only losing coolant from the radiator (no coolant overflow) but I also had a leak at the bottom of the lower water neck, right above the alternator. I thought about rebuilding the old one, but looking at it, it is a world reman, malasia...
  22. Mine works between at lower rpms. The charge light never comes on between 40 and 50 in 4th gear, but as soon as I hit 50-70 is blinks or stays on. Same through lower gears. My drive to work is over twenty miles on i-16 each way, so staying between 40 and 50 isn't really possible.
  23. Yea, I was trying to find the fastest possible solution but it looks like I won't make it to work now. I tried to find a 720 alt, but the only easily swapable alternator that was in stock locally was one for the 200sx. So far on the swap the 200sx alternator fits, bolts in easily all but the adjuster. The adjuster turns up away from the alt slightly, I need it to turn down and follow the body of the alt. I think I can flip it and it will work perfectly, but I can't get the bolt out that holds it in due to the fan pulley. Have one hour before I am supposed to leave for work.
  24. Datzenmike would you happen to have a picture of the fusible link? I found some wires tied together with house screw connectors and I have no T connector, just wires with crimp connections on the end...
