  1. Wow, amazing wheel collection! I was going through my B210 build thread re-reading everything and wanted to check out your car. Did you ever happen to get that kenmari lip you were talking about?
  2. I don't know why they won't use it. It's probably too small of an order and they are just coming up with excuses. However, one of them did offer to measure my manifold and design a flange at $100 for the design and $40 for two sets of flanges. The guys over at the 1200 site put them up for sale occasionally so unless I find a decent price around here I'll just wait. Till then I can just run the 32/36. You did get me a little more interested in EFI though so I decided to take a look at extrudabody. While they don't offer a kit for the A-series they do offer a DCOE manifold and a I4 40-48mm EFI setup that fits dual DCOE manifolds. It is very expensive (about $1500 without injectors) but I bet it ould sound mean  http://www.extrudabody.com/servlet/the-92/4-dsh-ITB-dsh-KIT-dsh-40-fdsh-45-fdsh-48mm-or-Twin-DCOE-fdsh-IDF-fdsh-IDA/Detail
  3. GG I can't find the steel options on barracuda's website. Do you happen to have any other sources? Personally I would love to find fiberglass but I can only find 210 sets. Why is the B210 so unloved :(
  4. 16x9 is a little large imo but anything will fit if you make it. However, that offset may not work. Get with datsunfreak, he has a lot of knowledge about what wheels fit and what doesn't. Also, join the datsun1200 site. there are a lot of B210 nuts there and also plenty of A-series engine info. If you find a line on bumpers fill us in. I've been looking since August.
  5. http://www.nzdatsun.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3276 Register at that site then use that link and the attachments will show up. The first attachment is a snapshot of all the flanges together, the others are the actual DWG files. I want the 5pc Oval so I plan to call up some other shops closer to ATL and ask them if they will run some.
  6. Oh shiney! Would this shiney be another unobtainium part or something readily available at less than Leno prices? I need one for the B210 so I can stop beating the starter on test starts...
  7. They are DWG format. I used the free DWG viewer from the autodesk site and they seem to be fine to me, but then again I don't know what all they would need anyway
  8. At least finding a machine shop shouldn't be an issue around Atlanta :P It is getting difficult to find people that know their way around the A-series though. If you end up needing flanges for your intake, please let me know where you get them made. I grabbed the CAD files from the 1200 wiki but the two local shops won't touch them. Of course they want to charge more because I don't have a file that they deem "secure."
  9. That looks pretty sweet. Grats on the grille  Now someone find me this grille for mine :P
  10. Wow, are you going to document the swap? I saw the 2.3 upper after you mentioned it and it looks like it would be amazing for a forced induction setup... I know, totally not the direction you are going, but you could get rid of that pesky heat issue since the charge comes from the cool side. Run an intercooler and route it through. Seems too good to be true :P
  11. Another option is a factory EFI or an Opel unit. the A14 turbo project going on is using an Opel setup that is similar to the stock manifold. Might look closer to a stock upgrade than the 2.3 ford mani.

    Fuel return line?

I did the same thing when I bought my truck. Probably dumped $1500 into a $700 truck in less than a month... Just a word of advice, get it running and spend a while with it before you make any huge decisions. I've lost more than the truck is worth in useless parts now that I have (or atleast hope to have) a final direction.
  13. That thing is pretty cool. Lower it with old school flares :P oh, and x2 for hot tub conversion.

    Fuel return line?

You could even go with something like this: http://www.rivayamaha.com/RivaStore/product_page.asp?Category=Fuel%20Line%20Return%20Restrictor Just make sure the sizes are correct.

    Fuel return line?

You should be able to run a restictor in the return hose like Kelowg described Or you could get fancy and go with a FPR. Do you have a weber or the stock carb? If you have a weber I've seen people replace the plug on the other feed line with a fitting and run the return line from there with a FPR or restrictor in that line. If not you could make a T of some sort before the carb with the restrictor or FPR between the T and the tank so that the carb is always getting the required fuel.
  16. Are those 15s? Would need to see it a little lower but it looks good. It almost looks like you could go one size smaller on the wheels with a sporty stance and it would be perfect. While I like slammed dattos, a racing stance like the ones you posted would be better suited to these horrible GA roads :P

    Fuel return line?

The vent line doesn't equate in this because he is using an after market fuel cell that has a built in return and output fitting as well as a vent fitting. That being said my 74 doesn't have a return to the tank. There isn't a need for a stock engine, but it is added prevention by filtering the fuel and keeping cool fuel near the bowl as Mike pointed out. If you want a clean engine bay go without the return line, if you want something that looks more performance based and adds some security, add the line and a FPR
  18. Crunch time. I have to have the 620 back to reliable status by Friday or bite the bulet and finance a daily driver...

My neighbor is selling his 76 280z, automatic, much more than decent condition, recently passed smog. He may let it go for less than 3500 USD.

I'll pass the word around. I love the 280 but can't stand automatics.

wait, neighbor? Are you still in San diego? :P

That's a little outside of my buying range from Goergia

  19. Swap to a wilwood pedal box (since you have an auto) and you get a really clean engine bay with reverse masters. They don't require much force but if you wanted you could add in a remote booster as well. If you just went with the 3 masters (one front, rear, and clutch) with the wilwood kit you would save the most space under the dash and hood.
  20. I can't bring myself to do EFI on the A series. Honestly with the options I'm looking at it would probably be the cheaper choice, but there is something awesome about the sound of carbed A-series that you can't get from EFI. If I ever get a 1200 this engine will go into it and then there are plans for either a carbed SR or a supercharged KA24e
  21. Doh... so many threads so little attention span... Please continue the FWD transforming good stuffs.
  22. Shooting me down again... I think you've gotten my hopes up about this same situation before. Why do you play with my emotions? :crying:
  23. Datsunfreak, give us the hook up. I would love a set for $400... Hell I'd even pay more if it was a small tag rear bumper :P
