Z is rear sump,L-24E is front sump.Since the L-24e head is different than the 2.8 head,that changes a lot of things like emissions.That is opening pandora's box.
Now could a few dealer wrenches put on in?Sure.From the factory,i'm going to say no.
The L-28 was never released in the 810 or Maxima because the Z was the company flagship.In the 810,a L-28 with the 3.73 gears that came in the coupe would have been as fast as the Z.That wasn't going to happen.
