  1. And people ask me why every bolt on the motor exterior i can get my hands on is now a stud & nut?!!
  2. The NAPZ motor was designed for emissions from the get-go.The head info WAS posted on The 620.com site.I just looked but couldn't find it.
  3. To fit the Z-22 with a minimal of problems, you use the Z-22 block,L-20b head, oil pan & timing chain cover & L-20b motor mounts. This gives you the extra cubes but gets rid of the piece of schit NAPZ head, which by the way flows like the affore mentioned schit.

  5. Lock the office door, turn the lights down.Put one hand on the key board and the other on your.....pistol grip shifter. My friend has TWO 70 Chargers and #2 is currently in my garage getting the motor installed. As we were in search of a few odds & ends, the painter told us to call this guy "George". So we do.He says,yeah-i have one of those. So we trundle over to his house. We go out to his"barn".The door opens and i see shelves stacked with 440 blocks.Must be 20 or so.Then comes the shelves with original carbs(5 shelfs four foot wide). Then the shelves of alternators. Then the stacks of 906 heads stacked like cord wood.22 or so assorted 833 & HEMI 4-speeds.A smattering of 727s mixed in for good measure i guess.3 or 4 boxes of shifters.(pistol grips, linkages &the like):w00t: Almost forgot about the COMPLETE Six-pack set-up. Inside is sitting a 64 300K.500 inch motor with the factory cross-ram(long-branch) intake manifold.AND the FACTORY cast iron tubeular HEADERS. Outside is a 64 Valiant/Barracuda.This was the year the Barracuda was an option on the Valiant. In 65 the Barracuda became a stand alone model.Well,George saw fit to stuff a 440 Six-pack in the car with a 4-link and four-speed.WITH functioning A/C.Instead of spark plug wires,George engineered teflon coated stainless steel tubes to deliver the spark. Next to the Valiant is another 300K.With a dummy block in place. He fashioned Stainless steel headers himself. And between number 3 & 4 are tubes about 3/4 of an inch O.D. that run towards the front of the motor. When i asked what they were for,he just smiled and said he re-designed the cooling system so the just cooled water coming from the radiator would hit the hottest spot in the motor first-the heads. He also built a SS steel radiator himself and custom mounts to hang it from the core support. I bought a old beat to death pistol grip shifter(50$) that is beyond use for a high $ restoration and i'm going to put it in my wifes 620 KC,which by the way will be Plum Crazy. I also forgot to mention that the hoods on all the cars slid foward and tilted to open. It was a good day.:D:thumbup: O.K.-turn the lights back on and clean up.
  6. I suppose. If you have a FSM and have done it before.AND the parts are available. So in other words, depends, depends, depends.
  7. You'll need a two GOOD machine shops. The first to dis-assemble and rebuild the box. Then one to re-spline the cut shaft.Re-splining is not something that the average auto machine shop can do.Find a shop that is known for steering box knowledge. Have fun!
  8. Sure it can be done. But it's not something that can be done in your garage.Might as well rebuild your steering box as the entire box must come apart in the process. This is a lotta work & $ for 2 inches.Or at least that's what she said.
  9. You are aware that the column is one solid shaft from the steering wheel to the worm gear in the steering box?I suppose anything can be done with a smoke wrench and a welder.
  10. Anyone running 15X7 Ansen Sprints(polished slots)?If so,any clearance issues?
  11. All L,Z & KA bells WILL interchange between motors but the "clocking" is different on the "L" bell.KA bells will NOT swap to L or Z trans as the rails and bearings are a different diameter.
  12. It'll be an engineering nightmare.Raise the seats.

  16. Found a 79 620 KC not too far from me for a couple of bills.I need the bed,A/C,calipers,console and other odds& ends that made the price worth it. So here i am patting myself on the back and i stop by the speed shop in town. This chick gets out of a white 620 and we start talking.78 KC running,no rust, just register it and drive it. How much you ask?.....FIFTY bucks.$hit,F*&K,Pi$$!!!!

  20. Hmmm,my PC guy is going to blast it for me.I might have him run it thru his oven. That oughta bake the $hit out of it.
  21. It's a consideration.BTW-the way you avoided the original question,shows you have a promising career in politics:rolleyes:
  22. I'm building a "period-piece" 620 KC for the wife.2300CC stroker, webber, polished slots and a header among other things.I'm about to get the header blasted(it came on another truck i have) and was wondering..black,cast grey or white for the header paint?
