  1. I pass Shelton on my way to work. Pm me and we can work something out Im sure. Ask Izzo... I just bought his wagon for him since it was local to me.
  2. Looks good. My buddy just pulled a 2.8L VR6 engine out of his 2001 Jetta. You should boost that one... You should also try to fab up some pop-out rear windows. Ive seen them on a few VWs (I think Golfs?) and they look sick. Thanks for sharing your other project.
  3. I would just like to point out that I think I called this one... OP has eight posts and hasnt been on in 16 days, who knows before that. I knew he was just posting so everyone could praise his GTR. Oh well...
  4. Wow... that bish is super clean. Do you have more pictures?! Whats wrong with it that it needs to be trailered?
  5. Haha yep! I was on the way to work... do you work in Gorst or were you getting some scandalous coffee?
  6. Hmmm I guess Ill check the mail when I get home then; I hope I got mine as well.
  7. Heading into work now... I should be able to get you an adequate quote for work if youre still interested in coming all the way up here. Ill text you when I have more info.
  8. They are all 15's, but the mkIIs are 7 inches wide whereas the mkIIIs are 8 inches wide. I will be running the mkIIs on the front of the vehicle with the wider mkIIIs on the rear. Ill take a look at the bolts and see if they are original and will clean up. That would be nice to save a few bucks as well as have some better looking ones. Yeah, I like legit rims as well. I think Im going to be pretty happy with these when I get them finished. Thats the plan!
  9. Thats a good tip Jun. I never thought about having to worry about my hardware interfering with my brakes.
  10. Nothing yet... I figured I would have received something by now.
  11. Man, there is some good stuff in there. I like the glove box badge... If it wasnt out of my price range and I didnt have a bluebird badge I would consider it. GLWS
  12. The rims you have in the first picture are just some sort of steelie with hubcaps on. The hub caps you want to pick up are either called "dog dish's" or "baby moons." You can purchase stock rims anywhere in the bolt pattern you need super cheap or you can buy newer steel rims from a place like Aero/Diamond/Bassett/Bart and stick the hubcaps on those. The rims arent important because they will be covered by the caps. Welcome to the site.
  13. Thanks John! I like them too... Im hoping they turn out well. Im putting enough effort into them.
  14. Time to work on the Spring/Summer wheels: I was weighing my options on what I wanted to do to get the real rims for the car up to par. Ive mentioned earlier that they had a little rash and the centers were painted silver. Since I didnt want silver and the paint was pretty worn, I figured I would change it up. I was waiting to have the funds to powder coat the centers, fix the rash, and buy all new hardware. Well, turns out Spring has started and I dont have those funds right now. I did a bit of thinking and Im going to leave the rash (its not much), buy new hardware, and spray paint the centers myself. Then when Winter hits and I switch back to the black Aeros, I will get these done correctly. Rims laid out on the porch: I just did one pass on the first rim and its going to need a second pass. This is going to take longer than I thought, but your final work is only as good as your prep work. Maybe I will take them to work tomorrow.
  15. More goodies! I like the way things are turning out on this beast. I just picked up some new lug nuts as well, but they sent me M12x1.5 instead of M12x1.25... so I had to send them back. I took your advice and picked up those springs and shocks.
  16. Awesome, figures. Thanks for the info, but unfortunately Im not a member there.

  18. I love the wheel and whale tail.
  19. I do not think there would be hundreds of Datsuns in this area... But it would be nice to set something up.
  20. You could always fasten some sort of screen on the end and use compressed air to blow whatever media your using into such a long pipe.
  21. Now that Im fully in the Reserves I will have to check my drilling schedule. If Im free, I should be still coming down.
  22. LIke you did in the first place :poke: :D
  23. I was just looking for your CL thread to see if you had an L18 laying around. Maybe I can slide by and check out the 620 auto; maybe it will fit and be an easy fit.
