Yeah, its getting down to the wire for some of the things I want to accomplish on the car before the meet.

Last time I went to the IPS Community recruitment van, there wasnt any free candy. Though there was some free pudding, but I just had to wear a blindfold and suck it out of a tube.

Ive only seen one picture once of a set. I assume they were for the GL trim level but I may be wrong because I can find very little info on trim level specifics. Ill try to describe them the best I can. They look similar to bullseyes, but (starting from the outside in) it goes polished aluminum ring, flat black indented ring, and then in place of the domed polished aluminum center, its stamped flat with the GL logo surrounded by flat black again. Im trying to find the picture, but am so far unlucky.

Hmmmm this reminds me of a project I have in mind. Not a wagon, but similar in design. I say do it if you have the skill (Im waiting since Im learning to weld).

No. I partially snapped them in to make sure that they would work with the new rims, but I havent fully inserted them yet. I doubt you will be able to see much of it if anything. Thats why Im not too worried about it.

I dont plan for anyone to see them since they will be covered in hubcaps. The black is fine, but I would like to get rid of the yellow.

Im a little upset that I wasnt able to work on my hubcaps today as I spent most of working hours running around the few junkyards/PnPs here in Tacoma. Between that and the office work here I didnt get a chance to even pull them out of my trunk. Im hoping that I can do it tomorrow. Oh well... life happens. Ill check out the wool and Mothers.Im sure that will work out well.

Thanks for the reply to the other thread in this one... And I really have no budget so price is no option. I really have no spending limit as when I want something I will just save for it. We have another car in the house if I need to do something to this vehicle that will take it off the road for an extended period of time. I just choose to daily this one. I dont plan on doing anything that will send it to the junkyard. I have plenty of people that I work with that have fabrication skills up the wazoo. You dont have to worry that youre going to lose another 510. Once you see where Im going with this, you will be ok with it. I wont ruin anything. I know Im new around here and you dont like seeing new guys come in and fuck a bunch of shit up on the cars and then give up. Im not new to car building and will do this car right. I appreciate the honesty and value your input. But I think I know what Im doing... and if I dont, I will do the research to make sure that when I attempt something I will know by that time. If you would like to continue this conversation about it, I would appreciate it if you would move it back to the Fender Rolling thread (as its where it started and thats the topic of the thread) or message me through PMs. I would like to keep this as my Want to Buy thread please. The only thing I see is that the first set of tags are in all caps while the closing tags are not. Maybe the HTML in the new version is case sensitive like that. Try making them both the same? Thats weird.

Tomorrow I have an orthodontics appointment for bottom braces, but after that I shall be headed to work on the car. Ill be in the shop tomorrow so I get to have a dry space to paint my hubcaps no matter the weather. Luckily, other than the paint being worn they are in really good condition. Thanks Doug! I have the stripper and paint, but what is a good metal polish? I dont need anything crazy expensive as they are only hubcaps on a non-pristinely painted car, but would like something at least decent. Whats everyones choice?

Keep the look... I wouldnt even paint it. It looks fantastic and while I normally dont like wings, that whale tail looks great. Good choice.

Id also be interested in an L20b 6 bolt flywheel pressure plate so I could use an L20b with my L16s auto.
