Keven
Hello and thanks for the add. Over the weekend I brought home my wifes late grandfathers 67 520. He was the original owner and the truck only has 50k miles on it. It has however been sitting in a barn for approx 20 years. Its currently not running, for some reason the hood doesnt want to open. But over all its not in bas shape considering some rough use. Thankfully it was in a fairly dry climate so rust seems to not be horrendous. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yeah the hinges commonly rust in place. Maybe jack up and place 2x4s up beside the engine at the back and near the hinges. Gently lower the truck with the hood held unlatched. Lifting from the front can buckle the hood itself. Pushing up at the back might work better. Once open... a little oil. 1 Quote Link to comment
Keven
Slightly embarrassed. Wifes grandad had installed a CB radio which perfectly concealed the hood release. Hood now open. ☺ 2 Quote Link to comment

What a beauty of a truck, congratulations! 1 Quote Link to comment
