five1oh
Small update. Last month my good friend that owns "Big Red" (1970 Nissan skyline) reached out and said he had something he felt belonged with my car. I had no clue what it was but he said he would ship it up and the day after my birthday the following package arrived at my work. INSANE, a bunch of Nissan/Prince branded items for car care showed up in this awesome toolbox. It was totally unexpected and pretty cool: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr 2 Quote Link to comment
five1oh
Last year I organized a Christmas Eve fun run with some good friends and had a blast in my Fairlady. This year Todd from NorCal Skylines organized a similar drive to go past Lake Berryessa and then end at Winter Jam in Sonoma. My wife gave the ok so this time I took the 510 and was the leader. At the end of the run my friend Tyler invited me over to his house in Napa because he was building his SECOND SR20 510 and had some Bride replica seats I wanted to sit in as I have always loved the style but knew I was to big to fit the Japanese versions but knew the replicas were slightly wider. I really need a better set of seats so I don't slide all over the place during fun runs.... I barely fit but they would be so good. While there he mentioned the engine next to the seats was for sale from his best friend. It was a 13b turbo rotary from an FC RX7. five1oh
So I finally "finished" my z so my friend Naveed shot it for SpeedHunters. He mentioned we should bring the 510 along so I got my friend Noli to drive it and my brother in law to help drive Naveed's car so he could shoot some rollers. five1oh
About a year ago I met an awesome dude named Ronnie that owned a gun and lingerie store in Walnut Creek. He had recently picked up a stock blue 510 with white vinyl roof and I sold him my Riverside R101 wheels.....well a few months after he bought the wheels he picked up another 2 door 510 only this one was cactus green OG paint. I finally had some time to swing by his shop and see the new car: Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment
five1oh
So I just dropped off my green 510 at my parents house so that I can use the garage to get the stock white 510 going. Hopefully I can get that one up and running soon since I have 2 other car projects to deal with lol. five1oh
So after about 6 weeks of having the green car parked at my parents and not a single night of working on the 69 I decided to bring the car home lol....I had missed driving it. A couple weeks ago I organized a fun run to lake Berryessa because an event I planned on attending (DWA Santa Cruz meet) was cancelled. Originally is was going to be me and 3 friends but then I got carried away with the invites.....I think about 30 cars showed up!!!! While trying to coordinate which children would be riding with me (that is what dictates which car I drive) it turns out my daughter backed out so just my son Mark came - which meant Z. I had prepped both cars so I asked a friend to drive the green 510. It was his first time driving RHD but I must say it was AWESOME having both my cars cruising together 🙂 Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Quote Link to comment

five1oh
So I have had a TON of fun with this car over the past 3 years but unfortunately it is time to pass it on to a new owner. Many of you have followed my skyline project and after 5 years of struggle and pressuring Eric to do other projects it will be moving to a shop to get completed. Eric has been a great friend of mine for over 13 years and the hako project has been a thorn in his side for a few years. In order to speed up the progression and get the car complete we have mutually decided to move it on to another shop. Eric has turned out some amazing cars for me including this one but now I need bags of cash to finish my dream car so sadly this one will be out of the fleet soon. I am keeping with my vision and making some changes to prep it for sale on BaT in the next month or so. I hope you guys have enjoyed the build as much as I have and I look forward to providing progress on my other cars soon. Please enjoy the last transformation before she heads off to a new owner. Many of you know me and my plan from the start was to eventually convert this car to a coupe by swapping the roof. I was fortunate to convince James to sell me a coupe so I will no longer be completing my vision with THIS car. From the start I have always thought coupe lights look best on coupes and belong on coupes. The lower roof gives the right proportions from the rear and the lights have never looked right on my sedan (IMO). Because I will NOT be swapping roofs I am turning this car into a JDM sedan spec so a few things need to be done: Taillights Wiring harness removal of center console Gauge cluster swap ...and I will also be keeping my fog light grill Interior will stay as it currently has sedan door panels but I am leaving the coupe seats Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr Untitled by five1oh2010, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment
