hobospyder
Yeah, Jeff is an old school parts guy too, but he has more experience. Plus, he worked at a different store,& part time. I've only been on the counter full time for 4 years, before that I worked in the warehouse side of the business part of the time. I've been in the Business about 15 -16 years. does this company have branches up here? i'd like to avoid it as well if at all possible 1 Quote Link to comment
Loren O
Well it looks like we have Loren's knob covered. Those that haven't sent your PayPal gift/donation in, send it to futofab@gsinet.net Loren, a few pages back you asked about a jade green knob, well I've been holding out. I have pearl green one (see below). I've had it fo a couple years, saving it for my own Cactus Green 2 door 510 project, but given these guy's generosity I couldn't help but offer it up to you, if you want it. I'll still donate the $50 to the build fund and the black knob will remain available to add another $50 donation to the build. Loren, this picture of the Pearl Green knob is a little off hue, it is really much closer to jade green than the aqua that shows in the photo. Will this work for you? Dave, that would be outstanding, thank you! That green color will look great in my 521! 2 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
That reminds me, I still need to find out what the thread size is for a Dogleg 5 speed. That's what's going into my truck. I don't have the shift lever that goes to the dogleg, & I hear the 521 shift lever won't work with a dogleg. 810 maxima shifters fit perfectly with out hitting the seat if its still the bench. had to try like 4 other shifters all hit the seat when in 1st,3rd, 5th and had to be bent so they wouldnt 2 Quote Link to comment
Loren O
does this company have branches up here? i'd like to avoid it as well if at all possible it's not really the Company, it's the way the industry itself seems to be going. They're a good company, all-in-all, which is one of the reasons I'm disappointed I no longer work for them. As a general rule, they take really good care of Thier people. There are ALOT of good people working for them,& at the very least, you can count on the better quality of the parts you buy there. It just came down to new school vs old school ways of service. In all fairness to them, I am a talkative person, so MAYBE, I could have saved a couple minutes here & there (I consider talking to customers part of customer relations.) Hopefully the trend will swing back the other way. 2 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Sorry to hear about your lack of job. Look at the bright side if that would not have happened you would not be getting a sweeeeet shifter knob for your truck!!! There are better things in the future for you, just keep your positive forward thinking attitude and you will prosper. Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
I want to say thank you to all that made donations and claimed Ratsun.net shift knobs. A total of 5 knobs were claimed and $250 went into the 2015 Canby Truck Project Fund. Thank you to all the parties who contributed Kirden Seansm10 hobospyder Evil Santa (who claimed knob #5) and the generosity of the guys that made sure Loren O would have a new shift knob for his truck. I’m glad that FutoFab could be there to help out. 12 Quote Link to comment

denmarkboy
Should cover most of the paint cost? Actually these funds will get the motor to Datsun life so they can start the rebuild . And the remainder will get used for materials for painting the frame and prep supplies for the body work. 5 Quote Link to comment
