can i have your 5 spd and rear passenger quarter ... by tthe way on the front run 7" springs ... not 8's .... 7"  200 lbs ... i had to ask for hem from gabe ... they will keep  the adjust free from the tire and wheels and grind a flat side on the outside of that retainer ring

Now I need a plug.......

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm reasonably sure that that plug serves as a free air breather for the box in addition to the fill port plug. Blocking it off entirely will likely cause the seals to leak after the header heat warms up the box and subsequently the oil/air inside.

I believe you are correct, I would suggest drilling a very small hole in the plug for ventilation.
